Seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in technical writing, testing,
training, software development, and audio/video production. I have worked with off-the-
shelf and embedded systems across a range of industries, including medical electronics,
telecommunications, assistive technologies, financial services, and music. Twice my
employers have successfully submitted my work for patent protection. At this point in my
career I seek to share my experience and unique combination of skills with a new

the phone system. Record counseling observation sessions and classes.

AUDIO ENGINEER AND MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER
Develop and maintain a Macintosh-based computing infrastructure for
audio and video production. I work with composer and pianist Lydia
Ferrell to produce her music.
2006-2011 Guideworks LLC, a Comcast joint venture, Radnor, PA
QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
Designed, executed, automated, and documented testing for Motorola
and Scientific American (later Cisco) cable television set-top boxes,
supporting large-scale deployment of the system to millions of Comcast
users. Worked with a colleague on an invention, which was successfully
submitted for patent. Evangelized Rapid Software Test methodology as
envisioned by luminary James Bach.
2004-2006 SeaChange, Fort Washington, PA
QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
Designed, executed, automated, and documented testing for Video On
Demand (VOD) software for cable television set-top boxes. Configured
headend (cable television control center) systems to support this effort.
My work enabled deploying this software to cable television providers
that incorporated Video on Demand functionality in their set-top
software.

QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST
Performed manual test design, development, execution and follow-up for
client companies. Primary client was MortgageRamp, for whom I tested a
Web-based application for commercial real estate loans.
2002-2003 Assistive Technologies, Springfield, PA
TECHNICAL TRAINER
I learned about Assistive Technologies while seeking optimal voice
recognition software for a friend with paralysis. Performed training,
remotely controlling clients’ PCs and providing performance
optimization for Dragon Naturally Speaking, an advanced voice
recognition application. Clients included physicians and law firms, who
used speech recognition with specialized vocabularies.
1996-2001 Motorola Broadband Communications Sector, Horsham, PA
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER/TEST ENGINEER
As Software Development Engineer, developed code for the Digital
Access Controller (DAC), which is the heart of a cable television headend.
My role then shifted to Quality Assurance, and I designed, developed, and
executed manual tests on DAC software. I also configured digital
headend systems to support this testing. Spearheaded an effort to
develop NewsPad, an invention which was successfully submitted for
patent.
