1 Introduction
Johan Brink has more than 15 years of experience across a myriad of clients and business

2 Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Services delivered in terms of the management of Information as a Resource to ensure that the
business achieves its goals and objectives through the cost-effective and efficient use of
Information Technology both from a services, hardware and software component perspective.
2.1 Team Management
Experience in management of a team of IT resources. Have had teams of up to 11 members of
different seniority.
2.2 Client Base
Experience in servicing a business with a large user base and have had clients with a 1000 user
base.

The platforms and applications that are included in this capability are, inter alia:
• Cisco and Microsoft environment

• MPLS connecting 10 offices country wide

Have been responsible for strategy and full budgetary management 23 million for a client.
Full responsibility for the management and operations of the IT resource irrespective of size.

4 Business & IT Consulting
Various consulting services are offered in terms of the business and the IT domains. These
include, inter alia:
• Business Process Re-engineering – to ensure the effective and efficient process chain of
service delivery across a functional domain.
• Infrastructure design and assessments of current environments
• System selection and business fit assessments – This usually entails the facilitation of
workshops to:
• Determine high-level requirements in terms of function, process, information and
resource management
• Compiling evaluation matrix with weighted factors
• Measurement of each alternative
• Recommendations of preferred option
• Security and privacy assistance and design
• Quality Assurance of system implementation and infrastructure projects
• IT governance
• Policy design and consulting
• Disaster recovery system and procedure design
• High level scoping - This usually entails the facilitation of workshops to identify the problem
or area requiring attention (not necessarily a problem, but could be in respect of changing
environment, new product implementation, etc.).
• Impact analysis - This usually entails the facilitation of workshops to:
• Define the subject that needs to be examined
• Determine all areas (inter alia, systems, business areas, information, people, products,
etc.) that would or could be impacted by the subject in question
• Recommendations as to the approach to be followed to deal with the impact results.
• Implementation evaluation - This involves the study of the manner in which the subject has
been implemented and includes, inter alia: the impact on resources (personnel, systems,
business, financials, infrastructure, etc.). The original objectives are taken as the baseline for
measurement.
