Professional Experience Overview–Management andHR Administration
Command Master Chief and Personnel Specialist (Human Resources) in the United States Navy Feb 1985-Mar 2015
 Distinguished 30-year performance. Spent the last ten years of service as a Command Master Chief, or Senior
Enlisted Advisor reporting directly to the Commanding Officer. Responsible for maintaining discipline;
accountability; training; scheduling; the management of 525 Military Housing units; Base maintenance, Ships and
Base repairs and grounds keeping; remodeling and new construction projects; base security postures, fundraising
events, VIP/Special Events, and Emergency Management.
 Completed accurate calculation and processing of payroll, managed bills, proposals, instructions and directives,
Courts-Martials and Non-punitive legal actions, and associated files. Maintained timely and accurate financial
reporting and general Human Relations and Legal Services Administration, including accounts payable and
receivable, Personnel accounting for as many as 22,000 accounts at one time.
 Family Advocacy Determination Board member, 2012-2015. Handled cases involving child and/or spousal abuse.
 Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Commanding Officer with regards to all matters effecting Sailors (employees), to
include: suicide prevention; family advocacy mediation, drug and alcohol prevention, leadership development,
career counseling, award recognition, OMBUDSMAN Program, and discipline.
 Secret Security Clearance maintained for 30 years.
Village Cooperative of Sioux City – Senior Living Community May 2015-Nov2015
 Managed a 44 unit Senior Living Complex. Hired during the final six months of the construction process. Worked
with the general contractor and subs through the final punch listitems and ultimate project acceptance.
 Responsible for daily operations, monthly financial collections and services payments, and supervised one
housekeeper and one maintenance technician in the execution of this position.
