Scope: National Smarter City Solution Leader
Responsible for creating routes to market around IBM’s public safety portfolio which included
both software and consulting services. Integrated predictive policing solutions at the state, local
and federal level including intelligence agencies and fusion centers.
BUSINESS PARTNER SALES EXECUTIVE (WASHINGTON DC)
Responsible for revenue as well as sales/marketing programs via our business partner channel in public
sector. This is a $500M business in public sector. Exceeded the targets working with key distributors
such as Avnet and Arrow from 2008 to 2010. Worked with other tier one VARs as well as HP and
Hitachi. This role also included managing key procurement processes such as state contracts and
national contracts, keeping partners informed of all process changes and enabling them to grow the
business year to year. In 2008 we saw growth of 21% and 60% respectively for the two key distributors
in state and local government. I managed issues between direct and channel teams keeping channel
harmony as an advocate for the channel.

BUSINESS UNIT EXECUTIVE WIRELESS (Emerging Business Organization)
Tapped to run the new US wireless team focusing on broadband in public sector, emphasizing the
"digital divide" and bringing the latest technology solutions to underserved communities. Met quotas that
ranged from $50M to $100M annually by leveraging hardware and software partners. Spoke as subject
matter expert at various industry events such as WiMax World and Wireless Internet Institute. Managed
teams which grew the US wireless business year to year for 4 years.

PERVASIVE COMPUTING BUSINESS UNIT EXECUTIVE
Managed a multi-function team of developers, marketing and sales personnel in the newly created
Pervasive Computing software division. This 'always on' mobility solution established a green field
defined and dominated by IBM, and instantly created a vehicle for IBM to distribute Websphere and
other IBM solutions to a new market. We introduced our clients to this "pervasive" concept ….the start of
the Internet of Things. My team also was responsible for smart card and positive ID solutions. We
identified and helped choose beta customers for "First of a Kind" implementations. Federal clients
included US Customs and Border Protection for its Container Security project.

Hired and managed a national sales team responsible for IBM's industry leading software ImagePlus.
We competed successfully to capture market share after the first two years were leading all US vendors
in market share and revenue. Was a key member of the team that developed design requirements and
introduced a new IBM Software Group product ImagePlus CaseFolder Enabler - a global solution
presented to The Hague and the Amsterdam law enforcement

IBM PUBLIC SECTOR HEADQUARTERS (Public Safety and Justice Manager)
Developed a public sector solutions team developing case management, mug shots/fingerprints and
other biometric solutions incorporating IBM Research pattern matching algorithms. Exhibited at national
conferences such as IACP. Also hosted classes for court administrators and public safety officials at the
IBM Palisades Education Institute. My IBM team included ex-clerks of court and police officers.
