2. Pre-survey…
Write down on the notecard how
much you know about Popplet on
a scale of 1-10.
When you are done…write your
name on it and put it on the
corner of the desk.

3. Popplet..what is it?!
 Mind-map
 Helps visual learners
 The ability to capture facts, thoughts, and
images
 Students and teachers can create Popplets to
organize information
 Available: iPad(not free) and Computer(free)

4. Things you can do in Popplet:
1. Double click to create a Popple
2. Change popple’s color
3. Choose how big you want the text
4. You can draw in the popple or add an image
5. Decide how big you want the popple
6. Move the popple by dragging it

5. To start…simply double click
anywhere on the screen!

6. Type what the
main idea is in
the first popple.
Then click the
circles to create
more popples.

7. Change the
color of a
popple!
Draw pictures in a popple.
Change the text
size too.

8. You can even add images!
Popplets can be very detailed or just have a few popples.
It depends what you have in mind when creating a popple.

9. Why should YOU use it?
 It is free on the computer
 Easy to use!
 Makes collaboration with others convenient
 Can export as PDF or JPG
 Easily printable
 Multi-language support
 Can include youtube, flickr, google maps, etc
 Keeps students attentive, active, and
collaborating!

10. How can we use it in the classroom?
 Turn and talk to the people in your group about some
ways you can use Popplet in the classroom
 Keep in mind that Popplet can be used in multiple
grades and content areas
