1. In this document, I have listed each page that will be included in the Instructional Design
Consultancy Center Website. Beneath the name of each page, there is a descriptive list of what
exactly will and should go on each page.
Home:
A welcome message
A very brief description of who we are (more information about this can and should be
included on the “about us” page) just so people know what website they are on and if
they are on the right website
An ordered list of the different pages on the entire website and links to them
About us:
A more in-depth description of who we are, what exactly we do, how we do it, and why
we do it
A brief biography of each volunteer on the ID team and/or involved with the IDCC
Information about how people can join IPP or the ID team or help with the IDCC
Contact us:
Contact information (phone, email, and/or fax) of the general organization and each
individual volunteer involved with the IDCC
A guide to who one should contact based on what problem(s) they are experiencing
Discussion forum:
Very similar to a LinkedIn or Google Groups discussion forum
Moderated by volunteers
Users can create accounts to post, which is, again, similar to the LinkedIn format
Posts can be in video, illustration, or text format
Tutoring programs:
Detailed list and description of tutoring programs offered
List of instructors with contact information for easy access
More information on how to participate in the tutoring programs
Access to presentations from past tutoring programs (similar to what MIT
OpenCourseWare where notes and assignments from past classes are posted and shared
with the public)
Group courses:
Detailed list and description of group courses offered
List of instructors with contact information for easy access
More information on how to participate in the group courses
Access to presentations from past group courses (similar to what MIT OpenCourseWare
where notes and assignments from past classes are posted and shared with the public)
Links:
Links to websites of partner organizations and/or websites that users may find helpful
2. The links should be organized somehow, by subject matter for example
Search:
A search engine should be included somewhere on the website, even if it not a separate
page
Users can type in key words to find disucssions, links, group courses, and tutoring
programs that deal with their areas of interest
