A short view on Italian school system

1. 1.Schools in Italy begin when you are six years
old.
At the age of one year you can go to the
NURSERY SCHOOL, until the age of three.
2.Then you can go to kindergarten up to six
years.

2. 3. Thenyoubeginprimary school, andthis
school lasts fiveyears.
4. Afterthe primary school there is the
middleschool, Thislasts three yearsuntil
the age of fourteen.

3. 5.Then you have to choose the high
school, that is the school in which you
specialize for the future. It lasts five
years. But unlike the others, you can
choose what school you can attend
(cooking school, technical school,
mathematics school, art school,
scientific school, music school, language
school,…)

4. 6. After the high school, you can choose the
university. You can choose what branch
you can attend: (medicine, languages,…).
The university lasts three years, and then
two years of specialization. You finish
University when you graduate.
