2. ABSTRACT
This project contains unorganized raw data.
The presentation of the data is classified
into Tabular Presentation, Diagrammatic
Presentation, Measures of Central
Tendency- Mean, Median and Mode,
Measure of Dispersion- Mean Deviation,
Standard Deviation, Measures of Skewness
Karl Pearson’s measure of skewness.
3. INTRODUCTION
This project is based on the study of the
pocket money students. The information is
collected through primary data i.e., by
interviewing students of the class. The
limitation of the study is that the study is
limited only for our class. The study is
limited to 50 students.
7. Conclusion
• Based on the above pie chart we can
conclude that 6% of students have
pocket money in the class 100-200,
28% in the class 200-300, 14% in the
class 300-400, 20% in the class 400-
500, 16% in the class 500-600, 10%
in the class 600-700 and 6% in the
class 700-800.
10. 2. MEDIAN
The median is total value of the variable which
divides group in two equal parts, one part having
high value and other having less values.

25 − 24
=410
Conclusion: The median is 410. That is 50% of
values are greater than equal to 410, and 50% of
the values are less than equal to 410.
11. 3. MODE

=200+100(

=200+100(0.61)
=200+61
=261
Conclusion: It is the point around which the pocket
money of students is heavily concentrated.
17. Measures of skewness
Pearson’s Coefficient of Skewness
Sk=
𝑀𝑒𝑎𝑛−𝑀𝑜𝑑𝑒
𝜎

416−261
166.87
= 0.92
Conclusion : Since the skewness is positive,
the frequency curve is skewed towards
right.
