CAMPAIGN

 Jerry McCoy works as a community relations project manager
with the Arizona Department of Transportation in Phoenix,
Arizona.
During his time working in the communications field, Jerry
McCoy has developed and executed communications, public
relations and marketing programs, services and initiatives to
advance the priorities and goals of public-sector organizations
in both Glendale and the Phoenix metro area.
Creating a successful communications program or campaign
takes strategic thinking, political savviness, collaboration and
initiative.
The follow are a few tips that can improve the outcome of any
communication or public relations program:
MARKETING
 A clear, quantifiable goal goes a long way. By knowing exactly
what the campaign should accomplish, campaign organizers
have a more reasonable sense as to which communication tools
will be most appropriate and cost-effective.
Keeping your message simple. Communicators and marketers
need to develop strategies that resonate with their target
audience, which means the messaging used should be attention
getting and straightforward.
Finally, you should identify and research several tactics and
approaches before committing to a specific communication
strategy. Also, good strategies use both new and traditional
media to increase the scope and frequency of key messages to
the target audience you are trying to reach.
