2. TL@W Mission
• MassCOSH's Teens Lead at Work mission statement is to
support young workers' efforts to research and identify issues
of concern to them in the workplace and in their community.
We do this by bringing youth together with their peers to
discuss their concerns and to learn about work issues through
the lenses of gender, race, and ethnicity. Additionally, we
engage teens in strategies to address their concerns and foster
young workers and environmental justice activists. We inform
peer leaders about opportunities for civic engagement, and
help them understand that everyone has the power to engage in
the public policy-making process given the right tools; creating
polished, confident peer educators that are incredibly effective
in reaching out and teaching other teens.

Editor's Notes
We do this through a workshop or 1-on-1
High school action plans that include SMART goals; obstacles to their success; and action plans
As a youth worker I believe that it’s about the opportunities and experiences we provide our young people. Push them out of their comfort zones, opportunities to fail in a safe environment, broadening their horizons, challenge by choice.
You never know if you’ll be good at something if they are never exposed to it.
