When the United States made history in 2009 by electing a black president, I was among the masses shouting Yes We Can. It was the ideal moment to redefine my personal mission statement and determine, yes I can do what?Personal Mission Statement I am an outlier, an individual that freely offers something unique to society; with the hope of affecting institutional change through community leadership. Yes I can make a difference and regardless of any obstacle, I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul.
