Bullying
is the use of force, threat,
or coercion to abuse , intimidate ,
or aggressively dominate others.
The behavior is often repeated and
habitual.
Republic Act 10627
otherwise known as the
“ Anti- Bullying Act of
2013”.
Bullying is not a CRIMINAL
ACT & therefore is not
punishable by LAW but is a
violation of the school
policy and therefore policy
& therefore punishable by
the school.
Key Components of
Bullying
1. Repeated and severe act – there
is a series of events
2. Imbalance of Power- It may be
due size, age, gender or socio-
economic status.
Effects of Bullying
Shorterm Effects:
 depression
 Anger
 Stress
 Withdrawal from school
 Suicide
Effects of Bullying
Longterm Effects:
 Insecurity
 Distrust
 Extreme Sensitivity
 Vengeance
 Mental illness
Forms of Bullying
It can be classified into four
types:
1. Physical - hitting,
punching, or kicking , theft to
one’s property
2. Verbal - name-calling or
taunting, slanderous remarks
3. Relational/ Social-
destroying peer acceptance
and friendships
4. Emotional –
psychological and emotional
well-being of the indivibdual
5. Cyber-bullying (using
electronic means to harm
others)
6. Sexual bullying- person’s
sexuality or gender either
physical or non-contact
(touching one’s private parts)
harrasment or asking sexual
favor.
When it is NOT bullying?
 The ACT is not done repeatedly
(ONCE)
 There is no IMBALANCE of
POWER. (both students have the
same physical endowment, age, sex,
etc.
 It is not happening between/among
students
When a teacher
allegedly bully a student
, it is not bullying but a
case of CHILD ABUSE
which is a CRIMINAL
ACT and punishable by
LAW.
When a student allegedly
bully a teacher, it is not
but a case of
DISRESPECT to
AUTHORITY or
INSUBORDINATION
which is a major offense.
Position of the School
All forms of bullying are outrage. Bullying,
in form is morally wrong in as much as it
violates the dignity of the human person,
disrespects the right of the individual to a
peaceful and safe existence and poisons
the harmony and peace of the school
community. Therefore, it is worthy to be
glean with contempt, disdain and
disapproval by the individual ,group or
institution.
Position of the School
 The sanctions may be
include one or combination
of the following ;
REPRIMAND SLIP,
SUSPENSION OR CHANGE
OF ENVIRONMENT.
School Intervention Procedure on
Bullying Case
1. A complaint is reported to the office
of the Formation & Services.
2. An investigation is conducted by the
SFS Coordinator, Mrs. Egay by having a
one-on-one conference with the bully
and the bullied seperately and
individually.
3. If bullying has been established from
the investigation, a sanction will be
determined and administered to the
bully.
School Intervention Procedure on
Bullying Case
4. The parent/s of the bully will be called
upon by the Formation Office for the
conference with the SFS Coordinator
before the imposition of the sanction.
5. The bullied will have the counseling
with the Guidance Counselor and the
Spiritual formation with the campus
minister. On the otherhand, the bully will
have the counseling and spiritual
formation after he/ she has served the
sanction accorded to him/ her.

6. The bullying case will be
recorded by the Chairperson on
Anti-bullying Committee for
reporting to the Department of
education at the end of the School
year.

Bullying

  • 3. Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse , intimidate , or aggressively dominate others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual.

  • 5. Republic Act 10627 otherwise known as the “ Anti- Bullying Act of 2013”.
  • 6. Bullying is not a CRIMINAL ACT & therefore is not punishable by LAW but is a violation of the school policy and therefore policy & therefore punishable by the school.
  • 7. Key Components of Bullying 1. Repeated and severe act – there is a series of events 2. Imbalance of Power- It may be due size, age, gender or socio- economic status.
  • 8. Effects of Bullying Shorterm Effects:  depression  Anger  Stress  Withdrawal from school  Suicide
  • 9. Effects of Bullying Longterm Effects:  Insecurity  Distrust  Extreme Sensitivity  Vengeance  Mental illness
  • 11. It can be classified into four types: 1. Physical - hitting, punching, or kicking , theft to one’s property 2. Verbal - name-calling or taunting, slanderous remarks
  • 12. 3. Relational/ Social- destroying peer acceptance and friendships 4. Emotional – psychological and emotional well-being of the indivibdual
  • 13. 5. Cyber-bullying (using electronic means to harm others) 6. Sexual bullying- person’s sexuality or gender either physical or non-contact (touching one’s private parts) harrasment or asking sexual favor.
  • 14. When it is NOT bullying?  The ACT is not done repeatedly (ONCE)  There is no IMBALANCE of POWER. (both students have the same physical endowment, age, sex, etc.  It is not happening between/among students
  • 15. When a teacher allegedly bully a student , it is not bullying but a case of CHILD ABUSE which is a CRIMINAL ACT and punishable by LAW.
  • 16. When a student allegedly bully a teacher, it is not but a case of DISRESPECT to AUTHORITY or INSUBORDINATION which is a major offense.
  • 17. Position of the School All forms of bullying are outrage. Bullying, in form is morally wrong in as much as it violates the dignity of the human person, disrespects the right of the individual to a peaceful and safe existence and poisons the harmony and peace of the school community. Therefore, it is worthy to be glean with contempt, disdain and disapproval by the individual ,group or institution.
  • 18. Position of the School  The sanctions may be include one or combination of the following ; REPRIMAND SLIP, SUSPENSION OR CHANGE OF ENVIRONMENT.
  • 19. School Intervention Procedure on Bullying Case 1. A complaint is reported to the office of the Formation & Services. 2. An investigation is conducted by the SFS Coordinator, Mrs. Egay by having a one-on-one conference with the bully and the bullied seperately and individually. 3. If bullying has been established from the investigation, a sanction will be determined and administered to the bully.
  • 20. School Intervention Procedure on Bullying Case 4. The parent/s of the bully will be called upon by the Formation Office for the conference with the SFS Coordinator before the imposition of the sanction. 5. The bullied will have the counseling with the Guidance Counselor and the Spiritual formation with the campus minister. On the otherhand, the bully will have the counseling and spiritual formation after he/ she has served the sanction accorded to him/ her.
  • 21. School Intervention Procedure on Bullying Case 6. The bullying case will be recorded by the Chairperson on Anti-bullying Committee for reporting to the Department of education at the end of the School year.
  • 22.
