3. As magazines are considered inferior to
other mediums such as social media and
television. It struggles to do its job of
informing readers of its subject and
finding interesting ways to sell on those
certain points. I subverted from how
normal rap magazines, do their contents
page as they don’t usually contain too
much text and mostly have one image
on the page. I decided to flood the page
with information to subvert from this as I
feel it is important to allow the reader to
see everything about the magazine and
attract them to keep on reading.

4. In my DPS, I learned that from my
audience research that my
audience associated the colours
Black, white, grey and gold with
rap. So those colours dictated the
house style of the page as well
layout.
Language is very important in communicating to an
audience and choosing the right words can be
difficult. What I did to get over this hurdle was to have
the a question and answer for the body of text.
Therefore I did exactly that with my model and wrote
down his responses. This was effective because he
also knows how a person in my audience would speak
as he would be part of that audience as well, age-wise
and ethnicity.
In my contents page, language played
another role as phrasing certain titles and
headings would appeal more to my
audience. Words such as dose, crepe, heat
and motives are commonly used in the
demographic and hence would create a
warm mode of address or at least
familiarity,.
