Conventions of the script digipaks

Digipaks/CD covers

2. This digipak
doesn’t follow
some conventions,
this is because
there is no
picture of the
band on the front
of the digipak;
however it means
that the text
stands out more on
the digipak.
This digipak although doesn’t follow some
conventions follows others such as the
name of the band and the name of the
album are clearly written on the front of
the digipak; meaning that it is easier
for the target market/audience to find
the cd/digipak.
This digipack
also follows
conventions;
this is because
it has the songs
written clearly
on the digipak
on the back;
which is where a
lot of songs are
placed on the
digipak.
This digipak also follows
conventions; this is because they
have used bright colours making
their digipak/cd covers stand out;
this means that it would stand out
from all the other digipaks/cd’s on
the shelf with it; meaning that
people would be more likely to buy
it as it stands out from other
digipaks.

small font in the
top right hand
corner suggesting
that the main focus
is on the pictures
than the text.
The digipak also
follows
conventions, this
is because the name
of the band is
clearly written on
the top of the
digipak, it’s in
the middle meaning
that it would be
clearer to see.
This also follows
conventions this is
because the name of
the album is clear
on the front of the
digipak.
The pictures on the digipak
take up more space then the
text, this could be that the
pictures should be drawing
more interest than the text;
that the photos are more
important in terms of the
music video.
The colours used in
the digipak, are plain
colours, this follows
some conventions as
different genres of
music/different
artists use different
colour for their
digipaks/cds.

conventions, this is
because it clearly has
the band name on the
front of the digipak; as
well as the name of the
album which is clearly
written in bold font in
the top right hand
corner.
This digipak is

conventions; this is
because on the front
and also the back of
the digipak; there is
a clear picture of
the band showing the
public who they are.
This digipak
follows
conventions; this
is because it has
the songs that
are included on
the back of the
digipak in the
top right hand
corner.
The colours used in
this digipak not
unlike the scripts
album; science and
faith uses plain,
bland colours giving
the idea that the
colours aren’t going
to influence people
to purchase the
digipak/cd.
