Standoff Detection
for Counter-IED and Security Operations
ChemImage’s VeroVision is an innovative sensor that provides
near real-time, standoff detection of explosive, narcotic and
chemical threat residues on surfaces. Developed for military,
security personnel, public safety, law enforcement and
homeland security, VeroVision addresses the growing need
for portable, safe, easy-to-use sensing technology.
Designed for Operator Safety
Unlike other threat detection systems that are currently
available, VeroVision provides wide-area surveillance at a
safe standoff distance.
VeroVision is designed with operator safety in mind, allowing
it to be incorporated as part of your layered security approach.
VeroVision will enhance your situational awareness and reduce
the response time to react to potential threats to help make our
world healthier and safer.
Introducing the VeroVision Capabilities and Benefits
• Using VeroVision’s standoff, wide-area surveillance
capability, you can screen larger areas at a safe
distance from the potential threat, keeping the
user out of harm’s way.
• With non-contact, passive sensing, the need for
hazardous reagents or lasers is eliminated.
• VeroVision also features objective, automated detection
displayed to the user on the screen, eliminating the need
for operator interpretation of the results.
• By employing advanced detection algorithms and a
robust library, the system provides high accuracy
detection for a variety of materials on many
surfaces, including vehicles, cargo and buildings.
• With near real-time operation, threats can be
quickly detected and isolated, protecting the pub-
lic from acts of violence.

Freight claim process
Claim handling
According to policy 25-000 in
the standard selling terms,
when a customer buys product
from Eaton, the risk of loss is
the Buyer’s responsibility. By
providing a logical and efficient
means to file freight claims,
we aim to mitigate this risk for
our customers.
Should a problem arise with
shipping, customers should
not refuse shipment nor
deduct payment. To begin the
claim process, first determine
your shipment type:
• Non-parcel shipment claims,
defined as truckload, less-
than-truckload, ocean and
heavyweight air, will now use
Expeditors Cargo Insurance
and Brokerage (ECIB) as a
third-party adjuster
• Parcel shipments claims,
primarily FedEx Express and
UPS Ground, will continue
to be processed by Eaton’s
Center of Returns Excellence
(CORE) group
Filing a claim
On all shipments—non-parcel
and parcel—customers must
provide notification and have the
claim process started within
15 days of receipt.
Carriers are responsible only
for the value of the shipment
damaged.
To begin the freight claim process
for either shipment type, gather
all required documentation.
Having this information ready
from the beginning will greatly
streamline the process.
Required documentation
1. Claims statement
Itemized damage list,
explanation of claimed
amount, repair document,
etc.
2. Value verification
Commercial/customer
invoices.
3. Transportation documents
Bill of lading, packing slip,
waybill, etc.
4. Delivery documentation
Delivery receipt noting
exception.
Supplemental documentation
1. Photos of damaged product,
packaging, cartons or any
indications of shipment
tampering are strongly
encouraged.
2. Documentation to
substantiate inspection—
testing, repairs, etc.
3. Any reports following
involvement with
government authorities.
4. All correspondence between
Eaton and external parties
involved with the loss.
