Friends of the Riverfront is responsible for development
and maintenance of the 24-mile Three Rivers Heritage
Trail. Volunteers assist Friends of the Riverfront in
its stewardship efforts. In 2014, 1,702 volunteers
contributed 5,326 hours of service to Friends of the
Riverfront at 50 Three Rivers Heritage Trail events.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy conducted the User Survey and Economic Impact Analysis.The report was
developed with assistance from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources,
