Editor's Notes
Glad to see everyone. Thank you Stonebriar Connect for letting me be apart of today, in this time of uncertainty.
Thank you for having me on today- to talk about Boosting your Brand for you and your business
I will offer some key take away for today- some can be instituted today.
Introduce my self Jamie Kernohan- I have my own marketing company in frisco.
I have over 15 years of marketing experience, adjecncy and corporate. I have taught at SMU, UTD, And CCCc; marketing. I love to network, I am ver involved int the American marketing associsiotn and a few charityies around town – WEB/Chamber and FWL.
Lets get started
this presentation is for both business and personal branding. I will draw correlations between the two as we go along. Marketing you’re your self follows the same principals as a business.
Brand is positioned to be trust worthy , credible and build relationships with clients, customers, co workers, and its how well you share your information, value, with others.
Personal branding is the same.
As with both- its what people say about you whenyou leave the room- ‘it may come in a tweet, google review, or facebook post, but people will share.
Heres is an acronym, for helping you remember how to create a plan- I want you to ACEE it! With this formula, you wil se improved engagement, recognition and evenutlly sales.
Agile, Consistency, Empathy, Equity
Example- story – relahound. Mobile. 85% engagement before covid/ now what ahs changed
Gone are the days of hard selling, more so shoin the human side, how you company deliver food to health care workers, how you instituted WFH
talk about, tell the story of how this crisis has made you look at your business, how it can help.
Consistency- daily posts aren’t too many- algorithms- 8x for everyone to see one post- unless you engange.
Building a relationship is always key: 85 % of jobs are found thru networking, same as business, community and relationships need to be nurchured.
job searches relly succeed if all you do is ask for help in your time of need. If you giv eback when you don’t need something youe ar building eqity.
Job serachers- some people are helpers and some aren’t. same a business.
Have grace, in both business and personal- realize people cant always get back to you- especially now with offices shifitng to WFH, children a t home… its trying time tosay the least.
Offer $1.80 plan; give 2 cents on posts, likes, comments build up community.
How are your competitors doing- what are they doing. Benchmarkers.
Sunscribe to their newlwtters
Youmay need to change every weekor so dependdignon the atmosphere. What is the temperature.
No one liked ot hear this but marketing is a long game- there are lowing havning fruit. If you do what you have always done you will get what you have gotten.
Biggest – Don’t stop-
Now more than ever –you need to be online- whether personal or business.
Story- people tell me in person- over zoom that they see my post but they don’t like them- how do you measure-
Customers send in pictures- dogs
$1.80
Plan two weeks contents
what can you repurpose, what value do you offer-
Clients: training- for free. Now
Volunteer- share it.
