2. Joey Bada$$- All –
Amerikkkan Bada$$
• Joey Bada$$ is a well-known hip-hop artist for ‘speaking
the truth’ and being ‘the realest rapper ever’ according
to VICE. Judging by the title of the album it doesn’t take a
genius that the word ‘American’ has been replaced with
‘KKK’ referring to the Klu Klux Klan. This symbolises in a
nut shell what his album is about. He speaks about the
major problems of American society including Donald
Trump. He is pictured on the cover to be swearing at the
camera, portraying that he doesn’t care about insulting
anyone with what he says or does. Judging by the front
of the album you can clearly make an idea what this
album is going to be about.
3. Pink Floyd –
Wish You Were
Here
• There's more to this picture that
meets the eye here in my opinion.
I think that this picture portrays
two distinct sides of one person.
On the left, screams to me that
this is what the public eye look at
of this person. Whilst the man on
the right is the real person inside.
Suffering. Doing everything he can
so they keep the people and fans
happy. When in reality, they’re
really suffering on the inside. The
‘Unsung hero’ so to speak. The fire
of the individual connotes the
suffering and pain whereas the guy
on the left looks perfectly normal
and slightly sophisticated.
4. Logic – Under Pressure
• This is a rather unorthodox front cover and is original. The
artist has been drawn on the wall in a graffiti like style.
When people are drawn on walls by the public, it shows
that they are role models to people. Logic is a well
known artist in the hip hop industry with millions of
followers and fans. So, for him to be drawn on a wall and
being represented as a hero, is really a clever idea as it
represents him perfectly. On the other hand, Logic grew
up in a poor background. So, having him on a wall that
looks run down and abandoned, portrays his back story
and no matter how famous he is, he will still remember
his background and will not let the popularity take that
away.
