maintenance and operations of 2 Fuel Purifiers, 7 Transfer and Stripping Pumps, 3 Landing Craft Air
Cushioned Refueling Stations, 2 JP-5 Helo Refueling Stations, 2 JP-5 Filter Separators, 78 Fuel and Lube
oil Tanks, and Valve Manifolds. Responsible for the strict implementation and/or compliance of
Engineering Operational Sequencing Systems (EOSS), Oil and water quality management programs,
maintenance and material management programs, and safety programs.
2. Awarded with Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for professional achievement in the
superior performance of my duties while serving as Oil Lab Work Center Supervisor during the
2012 IWOARGdeployment.
Led timely repairs on Landing Craft Air Cushioned refueling station, JP-5 filter separator, and
flight deck refueling station pressure regulating valve.
Orchestrated the zero mishap of receiving over 500,000 gallons of F-76, 20,000 gallons of JP-5,
and 50,000 gallons of lube oil during the 2012 IWOARGdeployment.
Consistently trained junior personnel and was directly responsible for qualifying 3 new
Equipment monitors and 2 new Engine Operators, allowing the engineering department to
maintain a 3 section watch bill throughout the 2012 IWOARGdeployment.
Led the safe and successful refueling of over 2 dozen aircraft at sea multiple times, and over 15
transfers of fuel oil to embarked Landing Craft Air Cushioned Amphibious Units during the 2012
IWOARGdeployment.
Main Propulsion No.2 Assistant Supervisor
Spent over 50 hours training 4 newly qualified personnel in all aspects of the watch-station,
ensuring the ship will received pre-certification in the graded main space fire drill during the
2011 Light Off Training Phase.
Corrected over 50 technical and administrative discrepancies in preparation of 2011 3MA
(Maintenance and Material Management Assessment). Received a perfect score that helped
Engineering Department to pass the inspection.
Prepared and submitted weekly maintenance reports in a timely manner to the ship's maintenance
coordinator.
Main Propulsion Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Personnel and Operator—Responsible for the
operation, maintenance, and repair of 4 Colt Pielstick 16 cylinder diesel engines, 2 Philadelphia Main
Reduction Gears, 2 Controlled Pitch Propeller, 2 High Pressure Air Compressor, 2 Fire Pumps, 2
Auxiliary Sea Water Pump, 4 Lube Oil Purifiers, 4 Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Units, Waste Water
Systems, and various valves.
Awarded with Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for displaying broad professional
expertise and unrelenting determination. A key player throughout the demanding operating period
highlighted by superior achievement during the 2010 Ultra-s naval inspection.
Awarded with Engineering Department's SNIPE of the month for outstanding work ethics for the
month of July 2009.
Instrumental in conducting over 150 preventive and corrective maintenance on the main
propulsion diesel engines, propulsion support systems, and auxiliary equipments. Due to high
quality of work displayed for my work-center, it resulted in best kept engine room as noted by
senior assessors during the USS Gunston Hall (LSD44) 2009 Naval INSURV (Inspection and
Survey).
Determination and meticulous attention to details was an asset in the emergent repairs of Main
Propulsion Diesel Lube Oil System during 2010 Africa Partnership Station Deployment.
Removed and delivered all 5 lube oil system relief valves for testing and repairs in support of the
2010 periodic engine assessment. Resolve to follow through on all jobs was integral in the ship's
ability to complete the multifaceted assessment.
