3. Front Cover analysis
One inherent similarity between all 3 of these Empire magazine covers is the fact they all include the
protagonist covering up part of the Mast Head, they also include a lot of the color red and white
which 2 of them have the mast head font being coloured in red and white which conveys to the
reader that their signature colours are red and white
4. Front cover analysis 2.
This recent edition of
Empire doesn’t follow the
usual trend of primarily
using white and red,
however as it is a special
star wars edition they have
decided to use a blue and
white (with a rainbow
overlay)
This magazine cover also
features two actors
instead of just one which is
also quite unusual for the
Empire Magazine as it
typically focuses on just
one actor
This magazine cover also is
different as the usual Sub
heading is placed lower
than the image which
allows the viewer to see
and primarily focus on
Luke and Rey's character
and then read the text
after
Camera is eyelevel with
rey however Luke is a little
taller which conotes he is
stronger and more of an
authoritive figure
I now know that any authoritive powerful figures
should be positioned higher than the camera to
connote this when creating our magazine cover
