Mrs. Woodard, Librarian
Library time is more than just a story
time; just as the library is more than a
warehouse for books. Every class visit
is planned in order to make sure
all students learn a variety of skills in
order to make the best use of the li-
brary and become lifelong informa-
tional seekers.
Students visit the library every week
with their homeroom class. They are
allowed to borrow one library book a
week. Borrowing will be suspended
until due books are returned or paid
for.

Dear Parents,
Third grade will be starting our fundraising efforts. Our
goal is raise enough money that all of our students may take part in
our field trips and learning experiences at no cost. We have planned
several field trips for the year. Our first will be to the Cushing’s Zoo
on November 21, 2014. The average cost per child is about $7 and
we have about (124) 3rdgraders this year.
Starting on October 13th, our 3rd grade team will begin selling treat
bags. We are asking parents to donate a box fruit snacks (Sour
Punch, Gushers, Gummy Hamburger… etc. preferably from Cost-u-
Less. These items are GDOE approved.) Each treat bag costs $1. As
payments AND orders forms are received, treat bags will be sent
home with the student to fill the orders they gathered. We will also
be selling after school.
We thank you for your support as we strive to make these learning
experiences available to all of our students.
Thank you,
3rd Grade Team
