2. The Library Group will meet today in the
library at 11:20. New members are always
welcome and there will be treats!
3. The holidays are just around the corner! This
year SCI will be doing a 12 Days of Christmas
Giving Challenge. Our goal is to raise 2000 items
for the Stayner Food Bank. The challenge starts
November 27th and ends December 12th. The
homeroom with the most points will win a pizza
party. The items we are collecting have been
requested by the food bank.

5. Members of the Jr. Boys Basketball
team need to get their forms and
money in to the office as soon as
possible. Parents can also pay
online. You must have all forms and
payment in before you can play
games.
6. Badminton? Skiing?
• All students interested in either team- there will be a meeting with
Mr. Wheatcroft at lunch in Room 109.
8. • Our fall semi-formal dance for grades 9-12
will be happening on the evening of
November 29th. If you are planning on
bringing a guest to this event who does
not attend SCI, you will need a permission
form for them to attend. Guest forms are
now available at the main office. Guests
will not be permitted to attend the dance
without completing this form.
• Also, the doors to get in to the dance will
close at 8:00pm. If you are unable to
arrive until after that time, please see Mr.
Jasek in the office to be approved for late
arrival.
• Tickets will be on sale in the lobby at
lunch- $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
• Be sure to wear your most colourful 80’s
themed outfit!
9. University Applications
Attention Grade 12 University-bound students. OUAC PINs are now available, so you
can start your applications. See Mr. Murray in Guidance.
College/University Application Workshops
Another message for the grade 12’s- Mark your calendars! Mr. Murray will be
hosting lunchtime workshops for College and University Applications during the
month of November. College applications- Nov 19th. University applications- Nov
21st. Both workshops will be held in room 107. Can’t make one of those dates? Talk
to Mr. Murray in Guidance to arrange an alternative time.
