MEMORIAL AND HIRST
The 4 million dollar project for the City
of Parksville has been one of the most
impactful projects for Knappett in terms
of buy in from the crew at Memorial
and Hirst have been working hard for
the past 10 months (starting August
2021) the local community
FORT ST. JOHN PROJECT:
100TH STREET
Knappett is working in the City of Fort St
John on the revitalization of 100 Street.
Recognizing a project of this magnitude
only happens once in a century, the City
first invested in a planning and public
consultation process, which involved a
5-day charrette with a design team of
to complete this street upgrade project. An abandoned well was
found and the crew battled poor weather conditions. Upon
completion, the street will attract both locals and tourists with a
pedestrian-friendly walkway and seating areas, along side food
trucks.

economic development specialists. Their role was to help the City
determine the best design for all the different people who use 100
Street.

and moved in Project Admin role in May 2022.
What kind of music do you like? Mostly country and classic rock
Most exciting part of the job: I like going to different sites and talking
to people. It's nice to be out and to see everything.
Any hobbies? I like riding my horse, Axel. We call him Ax-hole.
Number 1 travel destination: I'd love to go back to Germany
Fort St John: Jeremy
Job title: Superintendent
How long have you been with the company: 13 years
What kind of music do you like? Classic rock and country. Really likes
music from “The Band”.
Most exciting part of the job: Likes mainlining. The job is fast-paced
and there’s good comradery.
Any hobbies? Side by siding and archery
Number 1 travel destination: Mexico
Nanaimo: Dayton
Job Title: Project Manager
How long have you been with the company: 7 years. Started out as a
labourer and did surveying.
What kind of music do you like? Classic rock. Kid Rock is his fav.
Most exciting part of the job: The diversity between managing
projects, subcontractors, problem solving and red Cup celebrations.
Any hobbies? Hockey, collecting hockey cards and being a cat dad.
Also owns and operates RB Hockey Development-a local hockey school
for kids. Number 1 travel destination: Germany
