3. 1. WHAT IS THE ROLE
OF
QA DIRECTOR :-
Directors are responsible for managing all QA functions,
working with cross-departmental leadership to deliver high quality
products on schedule. From hiring analysts and managers to leading
incident investigations, QA directors establish and maintain a quality
system to ensure a company’s facilities, equipment, personnel,
methods, processes, and procedures conform to both internal
guidelines and regulatory standards.

4. 2. WHAT IS THE ROLE
OF
QA MANAGER :-
A quality assurance manager creates guidelines for measuring
quality control, oversees the analysis and inspection of products and
services, and recalls any low-quality items, involves in hiring and training
employees, setting up quality control guidelines, and inspecting all
products. Quality Manager is tasked with day-to-day concerns. For
example, a manager may be more involved in overseeing employees and
supervising the implementation of team or company-wide initiatives.

a. As the department is structured, the company’s expectation from QA department is
focused on maintaining the day to day duties
c. Duties mixed for QA Manage with one for Director
a. Mixed duties of QA Manager including overseeing employee, supervising and
implementation of companywide initiatives with that of Director that include long
term planning, examining and evaluating the organization processes and shortfalls.
d. Pre-existed Positions
a. Some of the positions like QA Director (YU), QA Manager (YU) & QA Manager (Stash)
were eliminated and combine in Corporate QA Manager role.

9. Recommendations:-
 Clarification of expectation from QA
 Career path and department restructuring based on
the above hierarchy
 Establish Director role to align focus on process side
of business (highly required)
