during the COVID-19 pandemic, where parents and children
are confined in their homes, have risen sharply in the last
three months.
5. Parental stress plays a critical role in their
child abuse involvement, which puts
children's lives and welfare at risk. The
purpose of the grant proposal will include
child safety and prevention of various
child abuse practices.
6. The grant proposal aims to provide solutions by
facilitating healthcare through child abuse
intervention strategies (parental stress management
intervention), research, and informatics to translate to
increased care to the underserved communities.
7. Maricopa County, with its unique demographic, has
seen its spike majorly in underserved areas. The
socio-economic challenges related to crime, drug
abuse, and low income, leading to negligent
behaviors toward the younger population.
8. However, proper research on the dangers of child
abuse can lead to its eradication and improved public
health system to the community.
