- 5. This beam made for a special requirement. Actually to execute the architectural view this beam was made. That carries the load of the fly PIECE LINTEL This is one types of lintel used in construction. The purpose of the piece lintel is same as the other lintel but it is used to make the construction more economic. It is casted after the slab and it just carries the load of the brick work, doesn’t carry the PIECE LINTEL EXTRA BEAM

CONSTRUCTION OF 2400 SEATER INDOOR AUDITORIUM AIM OF THE PROJECT The aim of the project is to plan and design the framed structure of an Auditorium and Convention Centre of capacity for 2400 people. The aim is to design the super structure is like to be a Conch (Scientific name: Turbinella pyrum). The architectural view will be like as the figure:
- 7. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT BASEMENT B1 Car parking for 94 nos. cars along with 300 nos. of scooters parking. 8 nos. of Elevators including Freight Elevator (20 people capacity). 6 nos. of staircase. BASEMENT B2 Car parking for 72 nos. cars along with 250 nos. of scooters parking. 8 nos. of elevators including Freight Elevator (20 people capacity). 6 nos. of staircase 2 nos. of ramp.
- 8. WATER PROOFING OF RAFT Supplying and installing positive waterproofing treatment for “Raft Slab” by using Preprufe 300R before casting of the base RCC slab. WATER PROOF MEMBRANE

- 12. FLOATING COLUMN There are two major reasons: Sharp edges in rectangular cross- section columns are basically centers of stress-intensity that may lead to failures. - 13. SKIN REINFORCEMENT When the depth of the beam exceeds 750mm, or when there exists torsion in the beam, these reinforcement is provided for beams having depths greater than 450mm. Their main purpose is to prevent the lateral reinforcement and shear reinforcement of stirrups from buckling. SKIN REINFORCEMENT
- 15. DRILLING THE RETAINING WALL TO CONSTRUCT THE RAMP BEAM In the site some problems always be there to face it and have to solve it to go for further work. To solve this problem the extra man power needed and also time consumption. The gradient, of a ramp is the angular relationship between its rise (vertical height) and its horizontal projection, often expressed as a ratio, slope is 1V:7.87H.
- 16. So to solve this problem they had to drill the shear wall to insert the dowel bar and to complete the further construction. CUT-OUT This is the provision kept empty or kept like a big hole in the slab for the future electric works, HVAC, ventilation etc. This is the picture after inserting the dowel bar for further construction. PROPS CHECKING It is very much essential to check the all props before the casting because casting time if the shuttering or the centering will displace the shape of the structure will be different. CLEANING THE PLACE TO BE CASTED It is very important to clean the reinforcement which going to be casted.
- 18. CONCRETE STOPPER This kind of stopper used here to stop the flow to the adjacent reinforcement of the slab. The entire casting couldn’t happen within a day so we should cast near about the beam i.e. L/3 distance from the beam. CONCRETE STOPPER
- 19. SLUMP TEST During casting the NBCC required slump was 160mm in site. The factors that determine the Compressive Strength of Concrete are Water Cement ratio, Cement Strength, Quality of concrete. TAKING THE READINGS FROM THE COMPRESSIVE MACHINE AFTER 7 DAYS POURING THE CONCRETE INSIDE THE CUBE CUBE TEST
- 20. CONCLUSION The main aim of studies within this project was to investigate how a structure is constructed within its desired properties. We have viewed concrete tests like: slump test, cube test and construction materials as well as their properties & uses at construction site. It must be said that the construction methods and quality control on an auditorium project needs a very good coordination and large quantities of man power, equipment and funds. During the period of about one month staff of PWD officers and NBCC and Contractor have helped us a lot to provide all the information about any query. So we are grateful to all of PWD officers & NBCC & Parnika team.
