AUDITORIUM
AIM OF THE PROJECT
The aim of the project is to plan and design the framed structure of
an Auditorium and Convention Centre of capacity for 2400 people.
The aim is to design the super structure is like to be a Conch
(Scientific name: Turbinella pyrum). The architectural view will be like
as the figure:

8. WATER PROOFING OF RAFT
Supplying and installing positive waterproofing treatment for “Raft
Slab” by using Preprufe 300R before casting of the base RCC slab.

reinforcement is provided for
beams having depths greater
than 450mm.

reinforcement of stirrups from
buckling.

have to solve it to go for further

To solve this problem the extra
man power needed and also
time consumption.

between its rise (vertical
height) and its horizontal
projection, often expressed
as a ratio, slope is 1V:7.87H.

problem they had
to drill the shear
wall to insert the
dowel bar and to
complete the
further construction.

17. PROPS CHECKING
It is very much essential to
check the all props before the
casting because casting time if
the shuttering or the centering
will displace the shape of the
structure will be different.

reinforcement which going to be
casted.
18. CONCRETE STOPPER
This kind of stopper used here
to stop the flow to the adjacent
reinforcement of the slab.
The entire casting couldn’t
happen within a day so we
should cast near about the beam
i.e. L/3 distance from the beam.

During casting the NBCC
required slump was 160mm in
site.
The factors that determine the

ratio, Cement Strength, Quality
of concrete.

20. CONCLUSION
The main aim of studies within this project was to investigate how a
structure is constructed within its desired properties.
We have viewed concrete tests like: slump test, cube test and
construction materials as well as their properties & uses at
construction site.
It must be said that the construction methods and quality control on
an auditorium project needs a very good coordination and large
quantities of man power, equipment and funds.
During the period of about one month staff of PWD officers and
NBCC and Contractor have helped us a lot to provide all the
information about any query. So we are grateful to all of PWD officers
& NBCC & Parnika team.
