Working at Visteon Engineering Center India Pvt Ltd, Pune (15th November 2010-
Till date) as a CAE Analyst
Summary
 Individual handling of a Finite Element Modeling (Shell/Hex/Tetra Mesh) of Door
panels, Radiator assemblies, Instrument panel, Cluster Assembly including
connections/boundary conditions
 Performing Analysis (Static/NVH/FRF etc) and Post processing for various
components/assemblies in automobile domain
 Performing optimization in design for components so that it fulfills required design
criteria
 Report preparation and sharing them with customers for better transparency in
projects
 Coordinating with customers/suppliers on daily basis with audio/video conferencing
to accomplish better quality product in given timeline
 Knowledge transfer to juniors/suppliers and helping them in projects when stuck,
for faster work performance and better insight domain knowledge
 Prepare and share weekly “Project timesheet” with customers in weekly meetings
 Keep tracks of newly arrived projects and deciding timelines/resource allocation for
the same

Analysis Project
 Static analysis (loading/unloading) at armrest position in rear door panel.
Objective: To examine any plastic deformation or rupture in armrest for loading
and unloading conditions.
Software Used: Hypermesh, Abaqus, Hyperview
 Static loading/unloading condition is performed at armrest
 Post Processing in Hyperview
 Different iterations of design modification in Armrest is performed so as to prevent
plastic deformation / rupture
 Suggest improvement to Design team
 Report generation to share results with customers
 FRF analysis of Radiator assembly.
Objective: To check if the radiator assembly fails under external Excitation
Software Used: Hypermesh, Abaqus, Hyperview
 Stress and displacement corresponding to its natural frequencies are considered
when an external excitation is applied in Z axis to the assembly
 Optimization is done in one of the mountings of the assembly to increase its
natural frequency to the desired value
 Report generation to share results with customers
 Modal analysis of Instrument Panel assembly.
Objective: To check whether the natural frequency is above the desired criteria
and to suggest modifications if it fails to do so
Software Used: Hypermesh, Nastran, Hyperview
 Modal analysis of the IP assembly is performed
 Different iterations are performed in IP design (glove box, console) to bring the
natural frequency as desired by the client
 Report generation to share results with customers
 Sunload Analysis of instrument panel.
Objective: Perform sunload analysis to see mode shapes and displacements
Software Used: Hypermesh,Abaqus,Hyperview
 Temperature of 110 degree centigrade is applied to the upper part of the IP and
rest parts are given a temperature of 80 degree centigrade
 Modification is performed in the IP to bring the maximum displacement as
suggested by customer
 Report generation to share results with customers
 Static analysis of front door (LH and RH door).
Objective: Different loads were applied in mappocket to see it fails at those
applied loads
Software Used: Hypermesh,Nastran,Hyperview
 Point load is applied in the map pocket and stresses / displacement considered
 Modification in design of map pocket is done to bring stresses within yield stress of
the material
 Report generation to share results with customers
 Side Impact Analysis (pelvis/abdomen) of door panel (Front and Rear)
assembly.
Objective:To perform Side impact analysis of door assembly and suggest
modification
Software Used: Pamcrash, Hyperview
 Impactor (pelvis/abdomen) is included and positioned accordingly
 Energy curve and force-displacement curve is obtained for both the simulations
 Design modification is performed in the padding / mappocket to bring the force-
displacemt curve within the given corridors
 Report generation to share results with customers
 Audio panel assembly ( Modal analysis, Frequency Response analysis).
Objective:To check the highest stresses in Audio panel to see if there is any
possibility of failure due to external excitation
Software Used: Hypermesh, Nastran, Hyperview
 Excitation of 3G is applied to the mounting locations of the audio panel in vertical
direction.
 Suggest improvement to Design team
 Report generation to share results with customers
Meshing Projects
 Radiator Assembly (Hex/Shell)
Software Used: Hypermesh,Nastran,Hyperview
 Header_tube modeling (complete hexahedral elements by maintaining strict fillet
radius betwen tube to header joint)
 Tank modeling (shell elements with hexahedral base elements)
 Contacts applied between various parts
 Pressure of 1 MPa is applied to the assembly
