1. Microsoft Windows Essay
Microsoft has always sought to carve its own path, predicting a future where everyone will have access to the Internet and handheld devices and
computers throughout the home. Their talent has been, and they hope will continue to be, to lead the way in developing innovative products that
exceed customers' expectations. From the beginning, Microsoft has forged joint ventures with other companies also at the head of computer
innovation. Microsoft's first joint venture was with Apple in 1982 to develop the Macintosh prototype. This venture was successful at first, but soon
led to a lawsuit by Apple against Microsoft in 1988. Apple had licensed certain parts of its graphical user interface to Microsoft to use in Windows 1.0,

Since IBM had many demands for their vision of what the product should be and Microsoft had other ideas, they each went their separate ways and
IBM took over complete responsibility for all future developments. In 1991, IBM wrote OS/2 version 1.30 which fixed some of the bugs of
previous Windows versions. In 1992, IBM announced their version of OS/2, version 2.0, for 32 bit operating systems. However it cost over $1
billion to produce. It was designed to replace all previous versions of OS/2 and allowed many programs to be run at the same time by using Virtual
Dos Machines (VDMs). Other versions of OS/2 were developed, culminating in OS/2 Warp 4 in 1996, code named Merlin. This version included
better user interface, networking connectivity and Internet access. Eventually, and probably, because OS/2 lacked appealing software, IBM
discontinued support for OS/2 in the mid 2000's. IBM's customers were now forced to look to Windows or other open sourced software like Linux or
Unix. In February of 2000, Microsoft introduced Windows 2000; designed to replace all previous operating systems for business and personal
computer users. It simplified hardware installation, using Plug and Play technology. New features were the Microsoft Management Console,
scheduled Windows Updates, IE5, Windows Media Player, and USB and Firewire ports and drivers. While designed to be more secure, unfortunately it
was subject to a number of virus attacks. Windows XP was released on

Microsoft Word Facilities
Word is a program that provides the user with a comprehensive set of tools for modern word processing. It allows you to format special documents and
tables, create form letters and graphical presentations, and to exchange data with other applications. It is an essential program for entering and
managing most text documents.
There are many advantages of using word to complete many different tasks and these are as follows.
1. Microsoft Word is an excellent word processing package for manipulating text documents as it provides you with an automatic spell and grammar
check plus a thesaurus. Therefore, when producing professional documents (e.g. letters) there...show more content...
If you need full database capabilities, create your tables in Microsoft Access. For a table that you can easily include in a PowerPoint presentation, use

3. You can arrange text and graphics on a page by moving drawing objects, including text boxes, AutoShapes, Clip art, WordArt, pictures, and
imported art in most cases. You can simply drag them to where you want them. However, you can also place drawing objects in a precise position,
and you can "attach," or anchor, an object to a paragraph so that if you move the paragraph, the object automatically moves with it. You can wrap
text around a drawing object of any size and shape. You can specify particular sides of the text box or graphic you want the text to wrap to and the
distance between the text box or graphic and the text that surrounds it. You can layer text and graphics. For example, you can create a watermark that
appears on the printed pages of a document.
4. You can set your page up accordingly to the way you want it to be laid out by using Page Setâup. This option allows you to alter the page in some
way either by changing the margins, changing the orientation of the page from portrait to landscape or by changing the size of the paper. Also
another feature of word is that you can add headers and footers to pages to give a clear identification of what the document is about. In the Page

Benefits of Microsoft Office
Microsoft office is a very useful tool in the classroom. There are many helpful tools such as changing viewing formats, more ways to view pictures
and PDF's, and providing a more editable experience over all. Viewing photos, videos, and PDF's is more convenient than ever withMicrosoft office.
Pictures can be added from bing and onedrive, and can be viewed from the document page, or can be double clicked and come to the forefront to
make it easier for students to see and focus on images. When opening a PDF, text is 100% editable and the format transfers over intoMicrosoft word
seamlessly, making accessibility to information of a different format less of a hassle to show. You can also view documents in a sort of "open book"
layout that is navigable, similar to a slide show, and is a great way to display notes and other information in a class.
Microsoft Outlook is commonly used and integrates well with other programs and systems. It will sync with any smart phone and is accessible
from any computer, regardless of the operating system. It also works well with Microsoft exchange. All of this means that users don't have to be IT
experts to use the product and that they shouldn't have to make many, if any, calls to an IT expert. Outlook also allows you to organize easily. You
can color code messages, so that if your boss emails you, their message could show up in a bright bold red so that you are sure not to miss it. You also

Microsoft Word Assignmentâ My Hobby
A hobby is something that keeps us busy during the leisure time. It not only entertains and keeps busy, but also offers an opportunity to learn and
grow into a better individual. Different people have different hobbies. While some have interest in collecting stamps, some others prefer painting or
reading books. Travelling is also one of the most impressive hobbies. However, my hobby isdiary writing. I have developed the habit of writing diary at
a very young age. I prefer writing about realâlife incidents and things done in a particular day. My diary includes both my good and bad. While good
doesn't hurt, I always make sure that I do not repeat the bad that I have done in the past. Many a time, it is common that we hurt others unknowingly.
When I flick over the previous pages of my diary, I regret that I should not have done that. I make a point of jotting down everything before going to

I consider it as a mirror in which I see myself every day and try removing my defects. The art of writing diary has also encouraged me for writing on
any subject or topic. Today, I have mastered the art of writing. Through writing diary, I have developed freedom of expression, which might not
have been possible otherwise. I secure my diary in a hidden place as I prefer not sharing my personal information with others, be it my family. I
have developed the thought of writing diary after coming across the book titled 'Diary of Anne Frank'. After reading the book, I realized that the
power of written words helps in expressing feelings more clearly rather than spoken words. I have also encouraged several friends to take up the
hobby of writing diary. I am happy that many of them have also made writing diary as their favorite

In addition to chart types in Microsoft word, you'll need to understand how to read a chart. Charts contain several different elements or parts that can
help you interpret data presented in a document or project.

Creating charts with existing Excel data
If you already have data in an existing Excel file that you'd like to use in Word, you can copy and paste it instead of entering it by hand. Just open the
spreadsheet in Excel, copy the data, then paste it as the source data in Word.
You can also embed an existing Excel chart into your Word document. This is useful if you know you're going to be updating your Excel file later; the
chart in Word will update automatically any time a change is made.
Modifying charts with chart tools
There are many ways to customize and organize your chart in Word. For example, you can quickly change the chart type, rearrange the data, and even
change the chart's appearance.
To switch row and column data:
Sometimes you may want to change the look and feel of your chart data is grouped. For example, in the chart below the data is grouped by genre, with
columns for each month. If we switched the rows and columns, the data would be grouped by month instead. In both cases, the chart contains the same
data; it's just presented in a different way.
Select the chart you want to modify in your document or project. The chat Design tab will appear on the right side of the Ribbon as shown or
illustrated below. From the Design tab, click the Edit Data command in the Data group as shown in below screenshot. Click the chart again to reselect
it, and then click the Switch Row/Column command. The rows and columns will be

Introduction to the Junior Theme A major goal of AP English III is to teach students to think about contemporary issues, analyze other people's
opinions about those issues, and express their own ideas in ways that are clear and convincing. Last semester's work on argumentation gave you

Operating systems:
It is very common that businesses use older versions of Microsoft Word, as it is reliable and not costly at all, especially in smaller businesses such
as dentists, etc. However, using old operating systems might require the employers to give new employees training as most employees might not be
familiar with older versions of windows. Although windows 10 has been released, making its predecessors cheaper, smaller firms cannot afford to
upgrade to windows 7 to XP due to it being costly and the entire system would be down for a while, it'll be difficult to manage information. However
a larger company will be able to afford it, businesses likes to use Windows OS due to the fact being that it has better support than other OS, and it
offers better hardware support e.g. printers, scanners, etc.
Small businesses does not need a server for their business as they do not have a need of one, hence they only requires in their workstations, which is
commonly Windows OS, Windows 7 is the most reliable out of windows 7/8.1/10, it is also an OS that has a userâfriendly making the interface easy
to use. However larger businesses will require more work stations, larger businesses will also require a server, or a computer that's more powerful than

Bill Gates, a man with a net worth of $76.4 billion dollars, and the founder of the corporation Microsoft revolutionized the way the modern economy

There he met Steve Ballmer who later would take over Microsoft. Gates left Harvard to start his company, MicroâSoft, in 1976 with Ballmer. He later

the grandfather of the modern PC. The IMB PC needed an operating system(OS), so Microsoft and Gates licensed the operating system 86âDOS to

Solutions and Limitations Microsoft Azure provides cost, security, and focus solutions to businesses by outsourcing IT management of businesses
infrastructure and platform services. To understand the solutions that cloud computing services provide, and in particular Microsoft Azure provides,
then one must understand the background of internal IT departments in the large enterprises that Microsoft serves.Internal IT departments have grown
rapidly over the past several decades. Businesses previously believed that having their own internal IT was a competitive advantage and
correspondingly invested a lot of money into IT assets and employees. However, internal IT has now become bloated with too many employees and
with too many IT assets owned. Furthermore, in most enterprises, internal IT has developed a contentious relationship with the business as being, too
slow, too expensive, and nonâinnovative. With the launch of salesforce in 1999, companies began building cloud computing capabilities at the turn of
the century to remedy these problems. As companies like Microsoft and Amazon have developed these Iaas, Paas, and Saas services they have
leveraged advances in network and mobile infrastructure and security, and rapidly risen to a level where they compete with internal IT as the solution
provider to the business. Overall, traditional business in a large enterprise is rapidly transforming through cloud computing. Microsoft Azure, as a cloud
