Becoming An Educator Teacher Essay
Becoming an Educator
When working in childhood education, it is necessary to have appropriate expectations and to possess the strategies to implement your education goals.
Rules, standards, guidelines, and expectations are essential at Interactive Neighborhood for Kids. INK provided a set of rules for students posted in
every room. These rules and expectations don't end with the students, they extend to the faculty and staff as well. The most important expectations
stressed for volunteers are creating a safe environment and utilizing positive reinforcement. Embracing these standards and forming a classroom that is
organized and which is characterized by mutual respect makes it easier for an educator to teach their students successfully and more efficiently.
One of the most important things a teacher can do to encourage learning is to create an atmosphere where students feel safe. Students need to feel safe
and protected in order to participate in learning and promote their desire to contribute during class. Holley and Steiner stress, "The majority reported
that being in a safe classroom changed both what and how much they learned (pg49–56)." During my experience at INK, I witnessed strategies that
educators can implement in order to establish a safe environment inside the class room. First, educators should make sure their classroom is clean and
organized. Distractions should be removed from the classroom and it should be fashioned into a place that encourages students to

My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay
My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love children. I love the look that comes across their
faces when they finally grasp a concept after they have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I
want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of learning in me. There is no better profession than
teaching for those who want to learn. One is learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is rewarding
and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world, one person at a time, by showing love to each and every
person I meet. Weather it be one of my students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ's light just like my teachers were for me. I want to be the
support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the
stars, but they can shoot far beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I've been on 4 mission
trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history
teacher/ musical director, Mr. Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my way. I want to share
what I have with every child I can,

My Journey To Becoming A Teacher
As young minds begin their journey through the education system, they stand head to head with some challenging tasks that require them to think
within the classroom, beyond the barriers set in their way. Yet, each student can also remember the teacher that helped them, challenged them and
motivated them to be not only overcome those barricades, but to become a better student and a superior individual. I can specifically recall myself
coming across that teacher just as I entered my final year of middle school. I walked into my Period 7 Science class on the first day of 8th grade as a
determined student with an open mind, ready to work. It quickly showed that my teacher was going to expect just that out of every student that walked
through his door. I was lucky enough to have a teacher, known as Mr. Ruscuitto, who would help shape me into being not only a successful student,
but a successful adult, as well as influencing me to become a future educator. I have chosen this wonderful teacher due to his disciplined teaching style,
his organization within the classroom, his knowledge on a variety of subjects and his receptiveness to each student's ideas. Beginning with his
discipline, Mr. Ruscuitto was a teacher known throughout the building for his harsh authoritarian teaching style. I walked in on the first day, sat down
next to a friend and socialized about what we had done over the summer months. It was no more than 2 minutes before we were instructed to rise from
our seats

Becoming An Elementary School Teacher Essay
Becoming an Elementary School Teacher
An elementary school teacher has numerous daily duties and procedures to follow throughout a school day. Some of the most important task that an
elementary school teacher has to do are planning lessons and assigning homework, maintaining grade books, and creating a positive learning
environment for students. Some teachers believe that the way a classroom is setup reflects there student behavior so it is very important to create an
encouraging learning environment. ( ) Having the task to create a fun and exciting learning environment has to be one of the most exciting things
about this career right along with all the fun projects and interactive assignment that I will be able to implement with my lesson plan. Although being
an elementary teacher may seem like you have free range it's not very fun when younger children has to take standardized test to be promoted to the
next grade level I believe that its way too much stress on younger children. I also don't think that there should be an honors ceremony in elementary
schools because it teaches children to believe that there not good enough or that they have to be stressed about making a certain grade and these are
just a few thing that I'm not excited about when it comes to becoming an elementary school teacher.
On average an elementary teacher work 7 a.m.–3 p.m. with paid vacation and three months off in the summer. Now this is what everyone thinks an
elementary teacher works but

My Life Of Becoming A Teacher Essay
Regarding her career/life work, she said that till this day not being able to finish high school and attend college like she wanted, still affects her in
some way or another. She dreamed of becoming a teacher. In accordance to this, when I asked her what was her biggest regret, she said that not
finishing school is something she would always regret. Then, I asked her about her work life. Ynes's first job was at a cafГ© her husband owned,
but she was the one who worked it along with the help of her mother. She was 22 years old when she started working for the first time. After that, she
started working at a grocery store that was her husband's property as well. She worked in the grocery store for many years until her husband died.
After his death, she had to leave the grocery store and take care of his business. He was a lottery retailer, and even though she was not directly
working with him she new about the business so it was not difficult for her to take on the ownership.
As the interview progressed I asked her how satisfied she felt about her job. She mentioned that despite the fact that her dream was to become a
teacher, pharmaceutical work was also something she was passionate about. This being said, one can conclude that, today Ynes's work satisfaction is
based on intrinsic factors, which are characterized by genuinely loving the work ones perform (Whitbourne & Whitbourne 2014 pg. 209). People's
satisfaction with their job basically expresses how much they enjoy

Why Do I Want to Become a Teacher? Essay
Everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and
communicates skills. Our children are our future, and they need to be prepared for the future or they will not be successful in the working world.
Teaching makes a difference in them, because it gives them tools to help them be successful in the future. I would like to tell you why I would like to
become a special education teacher and what has led me to this decision and why I want to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher
because I myself am a product of someone whom I consider to be the best teacher in the world. As a child in Virginia, I was inspired by a wonderful

Many people have stated that I am a very patient man. I come through my patience naturally through my mother, who was the most thoughtful, patient
individual I have ever met. I've had the opportunity of working in the Davis County School District as a substitute teacher and as the swim coach at
Bountiful High School. I have also spent many years coaching adolescents on a competitive swim team. My experiences have been very rewarding
thus far and have inspired me to want to become a special education teacher through the ATP Program. I can't even begin to describe the joyous feeling
of knowing that I've touched the lives of the kids–– it is truly priceless. When kids excel or simply say, "I get it," when kids come in and say, "Thanks"
or even "You're the best coach I ever had," or "will we have you again" that means a lot. They make me laugh, they give me hugs, they are
observant, and most of them just need a little push. They miss me when I'm gone, they try so hard to do what I ask so much of the time. The most
amazing feeling of all though is when the kids tell me "they want to be just like me and become a teacher or coach when they grow up".
I have finally discovered what I am truly passionate about and I am pursuing this passion by continuing my education so that I am able to fulfill my
goal of being a special education teacher. My goal is to be the best teacher any student has had and will have throughout his/her schooling. I want to

Why I Want to be a Teacher Essay
Why I Want to be a Teacher
School is a major part of our young lives. It is where we spend the majority of our time as youngsters. Children begin to develop relationships with
people who have not been apart of their infancy. For someone who does not enjoy school, this could put a damper on their relationships with others as
well as their learning achievements in life. This is why I want to become a teacher. I want to develop a learning atmosphere where children feel joy
and security.
I believe that enjoying and feeling that one belongs is an important part of education. Yes, I used the word that makes some people shiver whenheard,
education. Education is often viewed as an institution where children are...show more content...
Children are with teachers the majority of the day. Children are influenced by what they see and why they are around. Not only are they teaching
them academics, but also manners, sportsmanship, and self worth. These are important factors that children need in everyday life. This is why a
teacher's job is so important. Most would say that teaching would be a hard job. But, I feel that it will be easy if you win your students over. I know
that the rewards in the end will out weigh the cost. Watching a student master a new task is the reward I am after.
I have always enjoyed school. I enjoy learning new topics as well as helping others understand those topics. I want to teach children to take an interest
in school even if it is in only one subject area. By getting them interested I hope to give them the reason they need to get up every morning and put an
effort into what they do. The more a student puts into school, the more they will get out of it.
I have always wanted to be a parent. I am a newly wed and we plan to have children in the near future. I feel that I will be a great parent because I
helped raise my two sisters so I have background with helping children and meeting their needs. As a future educator, I must convince students that I
care. I plan to open new doors and introduce ideas that spark interest in their souls.
In high school I was forced to pick a major my ninth grade

The Road to Becoming a Teacher Essay
Teachers bear the heavy responsibility of molding the minds of our nation's most precious resource, its children. The road to becoming a teacher is a
long one, involving post–high school education, people skills, and a desire to change lives. These traits, when accompanied by experience and good
techniques, form the foundation for an effective, life–altering educator. Before anything else, teachers must have a desire to impact the lives of their
students (Education). Some teachers teach because they want to help children learn and grow and would like to make a contribution to society. Others
have an intellectual fascination with a certain subject (such as math or history), have been inspired by one of their own teachers, or feel they...show

Teachers also must be able to communicate, inspire trust and confidence, motivate, and understand the educational and emotional needs of their
students (School Teachers). Potential educators are advised to gain skills in communications, organization, and time management (Princeton). The
National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education accredits more than 500 teacher education programs in the United States. In most cases,
four–year colleges require students to wait until their sophomore year before applying for admission to teacher education programs. The traditional
education programs for kindergarten and elementary teachers include courses in mathematics, physical science, social science, music, art, and
literature, as well as prescribed professional education courses such as philosophy of education, psychology of learning, and teaching methods. Hopeful
secondary school teachers have two options. They may either major in the subject they plan to teach while also taking education courses, or major in
education while taking their subject courses (School Teachers). In addition to traditional licensure, some states offer what is called "Emergency
Licensure". These licenses bypass state licensing requirements. They are usually granted to individuals who teach in high–need subject areas, such as
mathematics, science, special education, or bilingual education, or for high–need geographic areas such as urban schools (Recruit). There are several

Being a Teacher
Is your life important to you? That is a statement anyone would replay, "yes" to. As surprising as it may seem, though, an important, successful life
would not even be, without one essential element: teachers.
Teachers, educators, instructors, mentors, or baby–sitters, whatever they may be classified as, they are necessary for many reasons. They are
foundation or our American society, they are a source of security, and possibly the parents some never had.
They are the foundation of our American society, meaning they educate everyone. Attending school, whether it is public, private, or home taught is
mandatory in America at a certain age. Therefore, all the basics of life...show more content...
Those are just a few illustrations of the obligations teachers have. These should not be considered obligations, but honors. Who would not want to be
such an influential role model in others' lives?
As I begin my teaching career and the years prior to it, many ideas and decisions will take place. Being that I plan to teach elementary school and
deal with small children, I plan to be excessive on classroom accessories. Children have a limited attention span and a dull, plain room would not be
appealing to them. The adjustment of leaving "mommy" will be hard enough for them anyway. I hope to make the environment comforting and
welcoming for them. Bright colored bulletin boards and posters with needed information on them. I would like my students seated around the room in
a circle. From experience, I've found that children feel more at ease and apt to speak up when seated this way.
I believe the teacher should be authoritative, especially in the lower grades. The students need to know who is in charge and feel that there is
someone of authority to look up to. Still yet, I want the children to feel a sense of authority, to make decisions and play a leadership role. Possibly, let
one child be "leader of the day" each day; for example, lead the lines or pass out the papers.
Motivation and discipline, I view as the primary topics of educating a classroom. Children have to be motivated, it is human

Becoming a Teacher: My Philosophy on Education
When did education start? Do we still need education to function as a society? How long will public education remain a kindergarten through twelfth
grade curriculum? The answers to these questions will vary from person to person, but they will all have one common theme: education will and must
go on! Education is the key to a progressing society. Education is the only way that knowledge is passed from generation to generation. In this paper I
will explain why I wish to teach, my educational goals, and the philosophy that I will use during my teaching career.

I remember while in high school many people including professionals asked me why I did not become a math teacher. I never acknowledged the
idea of becoming a teacher because I did not think that I would be a good teacher. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that teaching
would be the opportune career for me to help people and to use a subject that I have always found interesting and enjoyed all of my life, math.
There are many goals that I hope to obtain while teaching. I will be a good listener. I will not only instruct my students, but I also will listen to them.
I do not want to be one of those teachers that only teaches and does not care about the students' interests. To me knowing about the students' personal
lives is part of being a good teacher. I would not ask a student to tell me his/her personal life, but if a student wished to tell me something I would
gladly listen. A teacher should not only help students with learning of the subject they are teaching, but they should also teach them life lessons too. I
strongly believe, first and foremost, I will teach math, but more importantly, I will teach children. I will do my best to run the classroom in a way that
is pleasing to me as well as to the students. I do not believe that students want to learn in an environment in which they consider undesirable.
As stated before, I wish to become a high school math teacher. I know that some people have difficulty

Persuasive Essay About Becoming A Teacher
While becoming a teacher is an aspiration many desire and obtain a degree for, not everyone is up to the growing challenges. The following are just
some of the reasons new teachers quit after only a few years; emotional exhaustion, overwhelming stacks of paperwork, parental pressure and pestering,
indifferent administration and disruptive students (Johnson 6). The government has made testing and accountability a top priority that requires tons of
paperwork, money, time and energy. Often times, children endure different physical, mental and emotional challenges that affect their ability to learn,
as well as, their behavior. Teachers must have a like for children and an abundance of patience, be persistent and optimistic. It is important to keep in
mind that kids will be kids and that as children, we all make mistakes. It is, after all, the job of teachers to help children acquire the skills and
knowledge to make success obtainable for the future.
What's the difference between being a good, excellent and super teacher? Depending on your personal strengths, individual priorities, professional
goals and intimate relationships, it will determine which type of teacher you will become. The amount of time and energy you choose to dedicate to
work outside the classroom will make a difference. Becoming a counselor for your students, the amount of energy you have left after a long day and
the time spent on your students instead of personal family are all things that need to be factored in. First, a super teacher involves the highest amount
of mental, physical and emotional energy. Often times these teachers arrive early and stay late, attend a lot of trainings to continue theireducation,
volunteer for student activities, as well as, make themselves available to students who need additional assistance. It is common for a superior teacher
not to focus on discipline in their classroom, but maintains a give–and–take effect. Since being a super teacher demands more mental and physical
energy, it is likely that the teacher is single and without children themselves. Those teachers that have a spouse and/or children tend to have less time
to devote to the classroom. If you have a family, being a super teacher

Persuasive Essay About Becoming A Teacher
Teaching has always been a part of my life. The idea of learning new things intrigued me from a young age. I watched my older brother go to school for
years before I finally started my first day of kindergarten. I recall begging my mom to buy me a book–bag and give me homework to do like my
brother received. I was fascinated with school and once I started kindergarten, I loved it. My kindergarten teacher made the classroom feel like home
and encouraged us to always be our best. This is also where the idea of becoming a teacher started brewing in my brain. There was one afternoon, where
I told my kindergarten teacher that I loved kindergarten so much, I wanted to become a kindergarten teacher like her. Although she found it sweet, she
actually responded by telling me I should look into other careers instead of teaching. Looking back at her suggestion, I understand why she suggested I
look into other careers. Being a teacher is not as simple as it looks. I am fortunate enough to have taught in New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, Manhattan, and
Binghamton. I am currently substituting in the Binghamton School Districts. There are so many challenges teachers deal with inside and outside of
the classroom. I witness various of misunderstandings in the classroom between teachers in their students. Curriculums are also constantly changing
and they are not always in the best interest of the students. Education field is a tricky field to be in, but it contains so many personal rewards. Teachers

Essay On Becoming A Teacher Assistant
Become a teacher assistant Makes a Difference
Today, I woke up and couldn't believe this was my life. In the school year 2017, I become a teacher assistant and becoming a coach at York Middle
School. The trajectory of my career life changed one day when Mr. Connor asked me to be his teacher assistant. This began a long journey of learning,
teaching, and discoveries. A journey, which will culminate in this year 2017, continues for the rest of my life, in a teaching direction. Becoming a
teacher assistant is something I could imagine that was excited. I learned mathematics at San Jose State University at the age of thirty. Now, I often
think about and reflect on math concepts. In addition, Mr. Connor is my favorite math teacher because mathematics becomes my favorite subject. For
four years, as a teacher at my middle school, he worked tirelessly to bring the struggling students to an advanced level. He was incredibly successful and

Since I designed my own career path, I could have always picked up my body when I fell and moved forward in the USA. Working diligently to

Becoming a Teacher
Why I Would Not Like to Become a Teacher Teaching is hell. The reasons I would not like to become a teacher are simply just obvious. More work
than pay i.e. low net salary, stress, strict rules, you got to have a lot of patience with students especially noisy ones, and spend a lot of time preparing
topics for the next day's work. Teaching may look easy at first but once you learn more about it, it can be like hell–fire. First of all, and the most
important is your monthly salary. I don't like when you do all that hard work of teaching, teachers have to take out like say a 1/4 of their monthly
salary to pay their taxes. I mean, you're educating our younger generation but the teachers need a respectable salary, one that shows their...show more

Most important of all is the wags teachers receive at the end of the month. It does not even cover the light bill much less food, water, telephone
and taxes. Teachers would have to nibble at their money in order to survive and I certainly would not want to be like that, and with all the shouting
and screeming I would have to hear during the day my blood pressure might just fly straight up and send me to my grave, so that is why I would
not like to become a teacher. A teacher is a person who teaches students in schools or even universities and other places. I choose not to become a
teacher because I do not like teaching people. I find myself not making the persons to understand perfectly what I meant. The reason for that I think
is that I cannot explain clearly, so that the persons who I teach would not understand. I tried teaching my siblings often by helping them with their
homework. I find some of the things they did understand but sometimes while teaching them I gets mixed up so imagine what would happen to
them. Being a teacher is not that easy, I think, because they would have to do a lot of work for instance they would be responsible for the children
not understanding. They would have to prepare schemes, mark test papers, find the simplest way to explain to their students etc. I would prefer to be
a student. It's a lot of work too but I think being a student you would learn more and I love knowing and learning a

My Journey Into Becoming A Teacher Essay
My journey into becoming a teacher was not intentional. Through the evolution of my circumstance, I have evolved into an individual with a greater

the rehabilitation of criminal society offered me sound employment but left me empty in which how to reach individuals before they were banished to

Eventually my life's compass leads me to marriage, children and the quiet life of a housewife who migrated back to the great state where

here were I found employment in Desoto Independent School District as a Special Education paraprofessional. I was introduced into a world of special
education acronyms, federal laws, individual education plans and my classroom teacher Lisa Randle. Ms. Randle treated me as a teacher, not an

sure I was introduced to the daily functions of the Special education classroom in every professional way.

A teacher is not only someone who teaches, but they are a symbol of learning.
A teacher is a person who plays the most important role in the development of any student. The future of those students depends on the qualities and the
dedication of that teacher. It is the teacher who creates an interest in students to develop and to progress. It is the teacher who helps the students

The curriculum then becomes more relevant, therefore the motivation for the students to accomplish the tasks increases.
The subject matter not only has to be relevant but it also has to be stimulating to the students' curiosity. If a student is bored with the content, they are
not going to want to learn it.
The classroom also has to be seen as a caring and supportive place with a sense of belonging. Every student must feel respected, valued and heard.
Giving children the support for learning by welcoming their questions and encouraging exploration is very important for teachers to do.
Extrinsic motivators are sometimes used when teachers have a student or class who feels like they have earn't something for their hard work. This
could be things such as stickers or stamps on their homework and tests. Or it could be receiving verbal or written praise. It could be just the thing that
motivates certain students. But not all students need to be extrinsically motivated. Teachers need to find out which type of motivation works best for
which student to help them succeed.
Classroom teaching is more likely to be effective when it is informed by an understanding of how students learn. Constructivism is the current approach
to learning in Australian schools today. Constructivism is how each student goes about constructing his or her own knowledge. This type of

Becoming an English Teacher at a Middle and High School Level in California
What do you want to be when you grow up? This is the one question that every person has been asked since a young age. As a kid the answer is
usually a doctor, lawyer, detective, astronaut and so on. However, with time the answer may change depending on our journey to adulthood. In
our journey we grow and develop our ideal lifestyle. This development has an important role in our choice of career, because it's the centerpiece of
our future. The career we choose must fit the lifestyle we desire. This decision can be complicated and difficult to make due to the fact that there
are many factors that must be taken in mind. For instance, do I want to have a family? Do I want a career that allows me to have stability or am I
okay with being unstable at moments? What kind of environment do I want to work in as well as live in? These are some of the many factors I took
in mind when I decided to major as an English teacher. Never did it cross my mind that I would major in the field of teaching. However, during my
junior year in high school I began to become interested in the field of teaching English. I decided to major in it because it fits the lifestyle I desire.

Why I Become A Teacher Essay
In Education, I feel that each and every child should be considered as a unique individual. Children need secure, stimulating and caring atmospheres
so that may grow maturely, intellectually, physically and socially. This is one of the main reasons I have chosen to become a teacher. Employers
usually search for certain skills, qualities, talents in characteristics when looking for potential teachers and I feel that I possess many. I am a very
organized individual; I have a lot of patience and experience in dealing with fast paced and stressful environments. I have a true passion for teaching
and children, early childhood education allows me to channel back to my childhood and make children excited about education. I have a work ethic
that does not quit and a strong willingness to reflect. With that being said, I have a true understanding of being able to ask myself why things went the
way that they did, both on good days and bad days. The purpose of developing an educational philosophy is that it defines the purpose and focus of an
educational institution. It typically becomes a part of the mission statement which defines which subject material is being taught. An institutional
philosophy is also able to how subjects are taught and most importantly the values that are taught along with the subjects being covered. I feel that
teaching beliefs are tied to teaching behaviors are very minimal and as the educator becomes more experienced they become less sensitive.

Becoming An Educator Teacher Essay

  • 1. Becoming An Educator Teacher Essay Becoming an Educator When working in childhood education, it is necessary to have appropriate expectations and to possess the strategies to implement your education goals. Rules, standards, guidelines, and expectations are essential at Interactive Neighborhood for Kids. INK provided a set of rules for students posted in every room. These rules and expectations don't end with the students, they extend to the faculty and staff as well. The most important expectations stressed for volunteers are creating a safe environment and utilizing positive reinforcement. Embracing these standards and forming a classroom that is organized and which is characterized by mutual respect makes it easier for an educator to teach their students successfully and more efficiently. One of the most important things a teacher can do to encourage learning is to create an atmosphere where students feel safe. Students need to feel safe and protected in order to participate in learning and promote their desire to contribute during class. Holley and Steiner stress, "The majority reported that being in a safe classroom changed both what and how much they learned (pg49–56)." During my experience at INK, I witnessed strategies that educators can implement in order to establish a safe environment inside the class room. First, educators should make sure their classroom is clean and organized. Distractions should be removed from the classroom and it should be fashioned into a place that encourages students to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love children. I love the look that comes across their faces when they finally grasp a concept after they have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of learning in me. There is no better profession than teaching for those who want to learn. One is learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is rewarding and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world, one person at a time, by showing love to each and every person I meet. Weather it be one of my students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ's light just like my teachers were for me. I want to be the support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the stars, but they can shoot far beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I've been on 4 mission trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history teacher/ musical director, Mr. Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my way. I want to share what I have with every child I can, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Journey To Becoming A Teacher As young minds begin their journey through the education system, they stand head to head with some challenging tasks that require them to think within the classroom, beyond the barriers set in their way. Yet, each student can also remember the teacher that helped them, challenged them and motivated them to be not only overcome those barricades, but to become a better student and a superior individual. I can specifically recall myself coming across that teacher just as I entered my final year of middle school. I walked into my Period 7 Science class on the first day of 8th grade as a determined student with an open mind, ready to work. It quickly showed that my teacher was going to expect just that out of every student that walked through his door. I was lucky enough to have a teacher, known as Mr. Ruscuitto, who would help shape me into being not only a successful student, but a successful adult, as well as influencing me to become a future educator. I have chosen this wonderful teacher due to his disciplined teaching style, his organization within the classroom, his knowledge on a variety of subjects and his receptiveness to each student's ideas. Beginning with his discipline, Mr. Ruscuitto was a teacher known throughout the building for his harsh authoritarian teaching style. I walked in on the first day, sat down next to a friend and socialized about what we had done over the summer months. It was no more than 2 minutes before we were instructed to rise from our seats Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Becoming An Elementary School Teacher Essay Becoming an Elementary School Teacher An elementary school teacher has numerous daily duties and procedures to follow throughout a school day. Some of the most important task that an elementary school teacher has to do are planning lessons and assigning homework, maintaining grade books, and creating a positive learning environment for students. Some teachers believe that the way a classroom is setup reflects there student behavior so it is very important to create an encouraging learning environment. ( ) Having the task to create a fun and exciting learning environment has to be one of the most exciting things about this career right along with all the fun projects and interactive assignment that I will be able to implement with my lesson plan. Although being an elementary teacher may seem like you have free range it's not very fun when younger children has to take standardized test to be promoted to the next grade level I believe that its way too much stress on younger children. I also don't think that there should be an honors ceremony in elementary schools because it teaches children to believe that there not good enough or that they have to be stressed about making a certain grade and these are just a few thing that I'm not excited about when it comes to becoming an elementary school teacher. On average an elementary teacher work 7 a.m.–3 p.m. with paid vacation and three months off in the summer. Now this is what everyone thinks an elementary teacher works but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Life Of Becoming A Teacher Essay Regarding her career/life work, she said that till this day not being able to finish high school and attend college like she wanted, still affects her in some way or another. She dreamed of becoming a teacher. In accordance to this, when I asked her what was her biggest regret, she said that not finishing school is something she would always regret. Then, I asked her about her work life. Ynes's first job was at a cafГ© her husband owned, but she was the one who worked it along with the help of her mother. She was 22 years old when she started working for the first time. After that, she started working at a grocery store that was her husband's property as well. She worked in the grocery store for many years until her husband died. After his death, she had to leave the grocery store and take care of his business. He was a lottery retailer, and even though she was not directly working with him she new about the business so it was not difficult for her to take on the ownership. As the interview progressed I asked her how satisfied she felt about her job. She mentioned that despite the fact that her dream was to become a teacher, pharmaceutical work was also something she was passionate about. This being said, one can conclude that, today Ynes's work satisfaction is based on intrinsic factors, which are characterized by genuinely loving the work ones perform (Whitbourne & Whitbourne 2014 pg. 209). People's satisfaction with their job basically expresses how much they enjoy Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Why Do I Want to Become a Teacher? Essay Everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and communicates skills. Our children are our future, and they need to be prepared for the future or they will not be successful in the working world. Teaching makes a difference in them, because it gives them tools to help them be successful in the future. I would like to tell you why I would like to become a special education teacher and what has led me to this decision and why I want to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher because I myself am a product of someone whom I consider to be the best teacher in the world. As a child in Virginia, I was inspired by a wonderful coach and...show more content... Many people have stated that I am a very patient man. I come through my patience naturally through my mother, who was the most thoughtful, patient individual I have ever met. I've had the opportunity of working in the Davis County School District as a substitute teacher and as the swim coach at Bountiful High School. I have also spent many years coaching adolescents on a competitive swim team. My experiences have been very rewarding thus far and have inspired me to want to become a special education teacher through the ATP Program. I can't even begin to describe the joyous feeling of knowing that I've touched the lives of the kids–– it is truly priceless. When kids excel or simply say, "I get it," when kids come in and say, "Thanks" or even "You're the best coach I ever had," or "will we have you again" that means a lot. They make me laugh, they give me hugs, they are observant, and most of them just need a little push. They miss me when I'm gone, they try so hard to do what I ask so much of the time. The most amazing feeling of all though is when the kids tell me "they want to be just like me and become a teacher or coach when they grow up". I have finally discovered what I am truly passionate about and I am pursuing this passion by continuing my education so that I am able to fulfill my goal of being a special education teacher. My goal is to be the best teacher any student has had and will have throughout his/her schooling. I want to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Why I Want to be a Teacher Essay Why I Want to be a Teacher School is a major part of our young lives. It is where we spend the majority of our time as youngsters. Children begin to develop relationships with people who have not been apart of their infancy. For someone who does not enjoy school, this could put a damper on their relationships with others as well as their learning achievements in life. This is why I want to become a teacher. I want to develop a learning atmosphere where children feel joy and security. I believe that enjoying and feeling that one belongs is an important part of education. Yes, I used the word that makes some people shiver whenheard, education. Education is often viewed as an institution where children are...show more content... Children are with teachers the majority of the day. Children are influenced by what they see and why they are around. Not only are they teaching them academics, but also manners, sportsmanship, and self worth. These are important factors that children need in everyday life. This is why a teacher's job is so important. Most would say that teaching would be a hard job. But, I feel that it will be easy if you win your students over. I know that the rewards in the end will out weigh the cost. Watching a student master a new task is the reward I am after. I have always enjoyed school. I enjoy learning new topics as well as helping others understand those topics. I want to teach children to take an interest in school even if it is in only one subject area. By getting them interested I hope to give them the reason they need to get up every morning and put an effort into what they do. The more a student puts into school, the more they will get out of it. I have always wanted to be a parent. I am a newly wed and we plan to have children in the near future. I feel that I will be a great parent because I helped raise my two sisters so I have background with helping children and meeting their needs. As a future educator, I must convince students that I care. I plan to open new doors and introduce ideas that spark interest in their souls. In high school I was forced to pick a major my ninth grade

  • 9. The Road to Becoming a Teacher Essay Teachers bear the heavy responsibility of molding the minds of our nation's most precious resource, its children. The road to becoming a teacher is a long one, involving post–high school education, people skills, and a desire to change lives. These traits, when accompanied by experience and good techniques, form the foundation for an effective, life–altering educator. Before anything else, teachers must have a desire to impact the lives of their students (Education). Some teachers teach because they want to help children learn and grow and would like to make a contribution to society. Others have an intellectual fascination with a certain subject (such as math or history), have been inspired by one of their own teachers, or feel they...show more content... Teachers also must be able to communicate, inspire trust and confidence, motivate, and understand the educational and emotional needs of their students (School Teachers). Potential educators are advised to gain skills in communications, organization, and time management (Princeton). The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education accredits more than 500 teacher education programs in the United States. In most cases, four–year colleges require students to wait until their sophomore year before applying for admission to teacher education programs. The traditional education programs for kindergarten and elementary teachers include courses in mathematics, physical science, social science, music, art, and literature, as well as prescribed professional education courses such as philosophy of education, psychology of learning, and teaching methods. Hopeful secondary school teachers have two options. They may either major in the subject they plan to teach while also taking education courses, or major in education while taking their subject courses (School Teachers). In addition to traditional licensure, some states offer what is called "Emergency Licensure". These licenses bypass state licensing requirements. They are usually granted to individuals who teach in high–need subject areas, such as mathematics, science, special education, or bilingual education, or for high–need geographic areas such as urban schools (Recruit). • 10. Being a Teacher Essay Being a Teacher Is your life important to you? That is a statement anyone would replay, "yes" to. As surprising as it may seem, though, an important, successful life would not even be, without one essential element: teachers. Teachers, educators, instructors, mentors, or baby–sitters, whatever they may be classified as, they are necessary for many reasons. They are foundation or our American society, they are a source of security, and possibly the parents some never had. They are the foundation of our American society, meaning they educate everyone. Attending school, whether it is public, private, or home taught is mandatory in America at a certain age. Therefore, all the basics of life...show more content... Those are just a few illustrations of the obligations teachers have. These should not be considered obligations, but honors. Who would not want to be such an influential role model in others' lives? As I begin my teaching career and the years prior to it, many ideas and decisions will take place. Being that I plan to teach elementary school and deal with small children, I plan to be excessive on classroom accessories. Children have a limited attention span and a dull, plain room would not be appealing to them. The adjustment of leaving "mommy" will be hard enough for them anyway. I hope to make the environment comforting and welcoming for them. Bright colored bulletin boards and posters with needed information on them. I would like my students seated around the room in a circle. From experience, I've found that children feel more at ease and apt to speak up when seated this way. I believe the teacher should be authoritative, especially in the lower grades. The students need to know who is in charge and feel that there is someone of authority to look up to. Still yet, I want the children to feel a sense of authority, to make decisions and play a leadership role. Possibly, let one child be "leader of the day" each day; for example, lead the lines or pass out the papers. Motivation and discipline, I view as the primary topics of educating a classroom. Children have to be motivated, it is human

  • 12. Becoming a Teacher: My Philosophy on Education When did education start? Do we still need education to function as a society? How long will public education remain a kindergarten through twelfth grade curriculum? The answers to these questions will vary from person to person, but they will all have one common theme: education will and must go on! Education is the key to a progressing society. Education is the only way that knowledge is passed from generation to generation. In this paper I will explain why I wish to teach, my educational goals, and the philosophy that I will use during my teaching career. Becoming a teacher in today's society is not the most choice among our society. People tend to...show more content... I remember while in high school many people including professionals asked me why I did not become a math teacher. I never acknowledged the idea of becoming a teacher because I did not think that I would be a good teacher. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that teaching would be the opportune career for me to help people and to use a subject that I have always found interesting and enjoyed all of my life, math. There are many goals that I hope to obtain while teaching. I will be a good listener. I will not only instruct my students, but I also will listen to them. I do not want to be one of those teachers that only teaches and does not care about the students' interests. To me knowing about the students' personal lives is part of being a good teacher. I would not ask a student to tell me his/her personal life, but if a student wished to tell me something I would gladly listen. A teacher should not only help students with learning of the subject they are teaching, but they should also teach them life lessons too. I strongly believe, first and foremost, I will teach math, but more importantly, I will teach children. I will do my best to run the classroom in a way that is pleasing to me as well as to the students. I do not believe that students want to learn in an environment in which they consider undesirable. As stated before, I wish to become a high school math teacher. I know that some people have difficulty Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Persuasive Essay About Becoming A Teacher While becoming a teacher is an aspiration many desire and obtain a degree for, not everyone is up to the growing challenges. The following are just some of the reasons new teachers quit after only a few years; emotional exhaustion, overwhelming stacks of paperwork, parental pressure and pestering, indifferent administration and disruptive students (Johnson 6). The government has made testing and accountability a top priority that requires tons of paperwork, money, time and energy. Often times, children endure different physical, mental and emotional challenges that affect their ability to learn, as well as, their behavior. Teachers must have a like for children and an abundance of patience, be persistent and optimistic. It is important to keep in mind that kids will be kids and that as children, we all make mistakes. It is, after all, the job of teachers to help children acquire the skills and knowledge to make success obtainable for the future. What's the difference between being a good, excellent and super teacher? Depending on your personal strengths, individual priorities, professional goals and intimate relationships, it will determine which type of teacher you will become. The amount of time and energy you choose to dedicate to work outside the classroom will make a difference. Becoming a counselor for your students, the amount of energy you have left after a long day and the time spent on your students instead of personal family are all things that need to be factored in. First, a super teacher involves the highest amount of mental, physical and emotional energy. Often times these teachers arrive early and stay late, attend a lot of trainings to continue theireducation, volunteer for student activities, as well as, make themselves available to students who need additional assistance. It is common for a superior teacher not to focus on discipline in their classroom, but maintains a give–and–take effect. Since being a super teacher demands more mental and physical energy, it is likely that the teacher is single and without children themselves. Those teachers that have a spouse and/or children tend to have less time to devote to the classroom. If you have a family, being a super teacher Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Persuasive Essay About Becoming A Teacher Teaching has always been a part of my life. The idea of learning new things intrigued me from a young age. I watched my older brother go to school for years before I finally started my first day of kindergarten. I recall begging my mom to buy me a book–bag and give me homework to do like my brother received. I was fascinated with school and once I started kindergarten, I loved it. My kindergarten teacher made the classroom feel like home and encouraged us to always be our best. This is also where the idea of becoming a teacher started brewing in my brain. There was one afternoon, where I told my kindergarten teacher that I loved kindergarten so much, I wanted to become a kindergarten teacher like her. Although she found it sweet, she actually responded by telling me I should look into other careers instead of teaching. Looking back at her suggestion, I understand why she suggested I look into other careers. Being a teacher is not as simple as it looks. I am fortunate enough to have taught in New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, Manhattan, and Binghamton. I am currently substituting in the Binghamton School Districts. There are so many challenges teachers deal with inside and outside of the classroom. I witness various of misunderstandings in the classroom between teachers in their students. Curriculums are also constantly changing and they are not always in the best interest of the students. Education field is a tricky field to be in, but it contains so many personal rewards. • 16. Becoming a Teacher Why I Would Not Like to Become a Teacher Teaching is hell. The reasons I would not like to become a teacher are simply just obvious. More work than pay i.e. low net salary, stress, strict rules, you got to have a lot of patience with students especially noisy ones, and spend a lot of time preparing topics for the next day's work. Teaching may look easy at first but once you learn more about it, it can be like hell–fire. First of all, and the most important is your monthly salary. I don't like when you do all that hard work of teaching, teachers have to take out like say a 1/4 of their monthly salary to pay their taxes. I mean, you're educating our younger generation but the teachers need a respectable salary, one that shows their...show more content... Most important of all is the wags teachers receive at the end of the month. It does not even cover the light bill much less food, water, telephone and taxes. Teachers would have to nibble at their money in order to survive and I certainly would not want to be like that, and with all the shouting and screeming I would have to hear during the day my blood pressure might just fly straight up and send me to my grave, so that is why I would not like to become a teacher. A teacher is a person who teaches students in schools or even universities and other places. I choose not to become a teacher because I do not like teaching people. I find myself not making the persons to understand perfectly what I meant. The reason for that I think is that I cannot explain clearly, so that the persons who I teach would not understand. I tried teaching my siblings often by helping them with their homework. I find some of the things they did understand but sometimes while teaching them I gets mixed up so imagine what would happen to them. Being a teacher is not that easy, I think, because they would have to do a lot of work for instance they would be responsible for the children not understanding. They would have to prepare schemes, mark test papers, find the simplest way to explain to their students etc. I would prefer to be a student. It's a lot of work too but I think being a student you would learn more and I love knowing and learning a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Journey Into Becoming A Teacher Essay My journey into becoming a teacher was not intentional. Through the evolution of my circumstance, I have evolved into an individual with a greater calling. My previous background had been in the area of law enforcement. My stern demeanor and astute character yielded itself to a career in which the rehabilitation of criminal society offered me sound employment but left me empty in which how to reach individuals before they were banished to a world of concrete walls and steel bars. Eventually my life's compass leads me to marriage, children and the quiet life of a housewife who migrated back to the great state where Republican voices rule and oil refineries seep toxins into the air. I was introduced into a world of special education acronyms, federal laws, individual education plans and my classroom teacher Lisa Randle. Ms. Randle treated me as a teacher, not an assistant. She spearheaded my trajectory into the realm of special education through hands on experiences and in depth conversation. Ms. Randle made sure I was introduced to the daily functions of the Special education classroom in every professional way. One day after an intense afternoon of working with our profound students, Ms. Randle made a suggestion which would lead me on the path I reside on today. The classroom also has to be seen as a caring and supportive place with a sense of belonging. Every student must feel respected, valued and heard. Giving children the support for learning by welcoming their questions and encouraging exploration is very important for teachers to do. • 20. Why I Become A Teacher Essay In Education, I feel that each and every child should be considered as a unique individual. Children need secure, stimulating and caring atmospheres so that may grow maturely, intellectually, physically and socially. This is one of the main reasons I have chosen to become a teacher. Employers usually search for certain skills, qualities, talents in characteristics when looking for potential teachers and I feel that I possess many. I am a very organized individual; I have a lot of patience and experience in dealing with fast paced and stressful environments. I have a true passion for teaching and children, early childhood education allows me to channel back to my childhood and make children excited about education. I have a work ethic that does not quit and a strong willingness to reflect. With that being said, I have a true understanding of being able to ask myself why things went the way that they did, both on good days and bad days. The purpose of developing an educational philosophy is that it defines the purpose and focus of an educational institution. It typically becomes a part of the mission statement which defines which subject material is being taught. An institutional philosophy is also able to how subjects are taught and most importantly the values that are taught along with the subjects being covered. I feel that teaching beliefs are tied to teaching behaviors are very minimal and as the educator becomes more experienced they become less sensitive. My teaching Get more content on HelpWriting.net
