Dewatering is the removal of water from solid
material by wet classification and filtration or
similar solid liquid separation

3. OBJECTIVES
 Achieving lower water cement ratio
 Increase compressive strength
 Elimination of curling
 Improve wear resistance
 Improve water resistance

4. PROCEDURE
 Preparation of sub base
 Divide flooring area into panels
 Preparation of frame work using steel
channels

5.  Mix design of concrete
 Placing of concrete and compacting
 Levelling and compaction by double beam

6.  Dewatering process
1. The filter pads are placed and proper sealing
ensured
2. The top cover is unrolled over the filter pads
3. The top cover is connected to the suction hose
of the vacuum pump and water is removed
