5. I thought that the writing on the
pug was to small and not bold
enough so I changed it and made
it look more appealing and made
it stand out to my target audience
a lot more by using yellow (which
wasn’t going to be part of my
house style) to make it stand out
more.
6. I decided to make the picture
a darker black and white so
that it would stand out more
and so that the singer has a
more bolder appearance.
When reading comments on my
cover page from my survey,
some responses mentioned that
they weren’t sure what the main
headline was, so I thought I
would make it bigger and
bolder to make it stand out
more.

8. I changed the colour of the logo as I thought it should be bolder
to go with the main image. During the change, I also noticed that
the fist in the ‘H’ doesn’t really look like a fist anymore, so I took
the liberty of changing it and adding a graphic onto the ‘H’ to
make it appeal to the target audience more.
9. I have made the lips on ‘Alice’
stand out more by creating a
heart graphic over the lips in
order to show that the singer is
supposed to have
connotations of a doll.

comments made on my blog
about my front cover about
having another cover line on
my front cover in order to fill
up the space that was left
available prior to editing it
again.

vibrance of the

decided that
having an
actual heart
shape over the
lips looked a
little bit tacky.

coverlines, it
also makes
the colours lift
off the page

to read. “Alice” is
the biggest thing
on the cover
page which is
important as it
needs to stand

pattern overlay to
“Alice in
Wonderland” to

theme of the
novel by using a
clockwork pattern
to make it
unusual.

having the posters in
a movie strip along

magazine, I’ve put
three of the best
images together to
create an advert of
some sort, with brush
effects around the
images to create a
border. I have also
added a ‘stroke’
effect around the
“POSTER SPECIAL” to
