Profile An expert in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) with experience in the sector in Tanzania,
East Africa as well as global context. Equiped with the most current and latest WASH trends and
approches in technical and managerial levels. An environmentalist by training with a impressive
track record in project management and experience in working with both local and international
organisations including SNV-Netherlands Development Organisation, Catholic Relief Service
(CRS) and Health Actions Promotion Association (HAPA-SINGIDA). The most recently position
was the Program Manager of the Global Sanitation Fund supported project responsible for the
budget of over USD 477,000 and managing the project team of 8 consortium field staff. Familiarity
in working with donors like the United Nations Agencies including Unicef, WFP, UNOPs and
others including USAID and DFID. Successfully implemented the projects including developing
and piloting of innovative and participatory approach for hygiene and sanitation promotion in rural
areas called Mtumba Approach-Water Aid, piloting of the National School WASH Guideline in
Tanzania-Unicef, Community managed water supply project-Water Aid, Implementation of the
Water Point Functionality Intervention Framework-SNV, Sanitation Action Research-SNV.

Responsible for the project management of hygiene and sanitation promotion in three districts of
central Tanzania supported by Global Sanitation Fund. Lead a team of 8 project officers and ensure
quality, budget management and timely implementation of activities. Timely project reporting as per
requirements of the donor and in accordance with the agency strategy. Coordinate with other
implementing partners, consortium members and government agencies within the project areas. Use
of appropriate project management tools to design, plan, review and track progress on project
implementation.

Identify, commission, contract, coach, accompany and manage the Local Capacity Builders
(implementing partners) and provide continuous backstopping support during implementation of
(School) WASH projects. Provide advisory services to clients/partner organisations (including

agreements. I was directly responsible to manage partnership with a total of 6 Local Capacity

Manage the WASH Program within the organisation including needs assessments, project designs,
proposal writing, evaluation and reporting. Manage the field program staff and collaborate with
partners and communities in developing and implementing WASH projects and infrastructures.
