2. Synopsis
Tower Of Terror is a 1997 Disney film about a journalist and his crew who go
to investigate an abandoned hotel where five people mysteriously disappeared
in an elevator in 1939.
3. Character of
Buzzy
Buzzy Crocker (played by Steve Guttenberg) is a
journalist for the Los Angeles herald newspaper.
The first impression of Buzzy is that he is an
exploiter, someone who takes advantage of other
people. An example of this is when Patricia (Buzzy’s
Sister) asks him about the deal they made to plant
trees at her house. At this moment, Buzzy finds and
excuse to go against the deal that he’d made with
his sister.
Buzzy gives the impression that he takes advantage
of people and tries to get out of certain situations.
An example of this is when Patricia appears and
asks about the deal they made to plant trees. In this
moment, Buzzy tries to find an excuse to not
complete the deal that they had arranged, as he has
a deadline for his work.
4. What is Buzzy’s super objective?
Buzzy is somebody who likes to get to the truth about things which he is
passionate about. An example of this is when he asks his colleague Jill
Whitham to work on a story with him about a recycling scam. He thinks it will
be a very big story that will make national headlines. In this scene, Buzzy
comes across as quite pushy, as he wants people to work with him on stories
which he is passionate about exposing.
5. Character of Jill Perry
Jill Perry (played by Nia Peeples) is the boss for the Los Angeles
Herald newspaper. She also used to date Buzzy Crocker and they
went on their first date to a seafood restraunt in Malibu,
California. This creates a conflict between the two characters as
they currently work together for the same company.
Jill comes across as a no-nonsense person. She is someone who
likes to work hard and takes her job seriously. This comes across
when Buzzy Crocker approaches her and pitches an idea to her
that he thinks could make national headlines.
Jill’s super objective in the scene is to try and get rid of Buzzy by
telling him that she is not interested in the idea for the story, or
him. This shows that Jill doesn’t like to be messed around when
it comes to her work, and that she wants other people to take
their jobs seriously.
6. Character of
Patricia Petterson
Patricia Petterson (played by Lela Ivey) is
the mother of Anna Petterson, and the
sister of Buzzy Crocker. She is a minor
character within the film.
Patricia comes across as someone who can
be easily let down by small things. This
comes across when Buzzy is leaving the
house, but she wants him to follow through
the deal that they made which is to plant
trees, but Buzzy can’t as he has a deadline
to meet. This shows that Patricia likes to
put herself first, and that she likes things
to be followed through.
