Perenialisme merupakan suatu aliran dalam pendidikan yang lahir pada abad
ke dua puluh. Perenalisme berasal dari kata perennial yang berarti abadi dan
kekal. Perenialisme memandang kebenaran sebagai hal yang konstan abadi
atau perennial, tujuan dari pendidikan menurut perenialisme adalah
memastikan bahwa para sisiwa memperoleh pengetahuan tentang prinsip-
prinsip atau gagasan besar yang tidak berubah
2. Pragmatisme
Pragmatisme berasal dari bahasa yunani yang mempunyai arti sebuah
tindakan atau sebuah tingkah laku seseorang, sedangkan istilah dari kata isme
memiliki arti adalah suatu ajaran atau aliran. Sedangkan pragmatisme ini
adalah aliran yang mengemukakan bahwa pemikiran itu mengikuti sebuah
tindakan sesorang .

potensi, yaitu nafsu, kemauan dan pikiran.

Aristoteles menyatakan bahwa sifat atau watak anak

aktualitas
3. Thomas aquinas
Tujuan pendidikan menurut thomas adalah sebagai
usaha untuk mewujudkan kapasitas yang ada dalam
individu agar menjadi aktualitas, aktif dan nyata.

kebenaran selalu dapat di ubah dan di revisi oleh pengalaman
murni
3. John dewey
John dewey mengatakan, seseorang tidak perlu di ajari
berbagai teori, tetapi langsung saja peraktek, dengan begitu
seseorang akan cepat menguasai bidangnya.

di balik alam , penuh kedamaian.

Pragmatisme memusatkan pada hal-hal dalam
jangkauan pengalaman indra manusia
Apa yang di pandang benar adalah apa yang berguna
atau berfungsi
Manusia bertanggung jawab atas nilai-nilai dalam
masyarakat
7. Pandangan perenialisme dalam pendidikan yaitu bahwa pendidikan
harus berdasarkan pada nilai-nilai luhur, norma dan agama. Pendidikan
harus dipusatkan pada guru, karena guru memiliki kemampuan serta
norma-norma dan nilai yang luhur seperti:

8. Pandanagan pragmatisme dalam pendidikan mengarahkan agar subjek
didik saat belajar di sekolah tidak berbeda ketika ia berada di luar
sekolah. Oleh karnanya, kehidupan di sekolah selalu di dasari sebagai
bagian dari pengalaman hidup, bukan bagian dari persiapan untuk
menjalani hidup. implikasi dari filsafat pendidikan pragmatisme
terhadap pelaksanaan pendidikan mencakup lima hal hal pokok. Kelima
hal pokok tersebut, yaitu:

• Kedudukan siswa
• Kurikulum
• Metode
• Peren guru

9. Aliran perenialisme lebih menekankan pada kebenaran, keabadian,
keindahan pada warisan budaya. Pendidikan yang menganut aliran
ini menekankan pada kebenaran absolut, universal, yang tidak
terkait pada tempat dan waktu. Aliran ini bersifat masa
lampau,dimana aliran ini kembali pada nilai-nilai budaya.
Sedangkan pragmatisme adalah aliran yang mengedepankan
praktis ketimbang hanya sekedar berteori atau berpendapat saja.
