3. Locations
One of the locations I will be filming will be my house in Tadcaster LS34 9BB. I will film
In the kitchen where there will be table and chairs used in the scene. This will be a
good place to film as there won't be many limitations. I won’t need to worry about the
weather, access or cost. Both the actors live close so there won’t be any problems with
them getting to the location. I will however need to film outside in my garden for the
opening. This can cause problems if it is raining. I will need to make sure that people
are available to reschedule for a different date if it rains on the day of filming.
4. Equipment
I will need to use a camera for filming which is available from college. For the camera I
will also need a tripod in order to get still shots with good camera angles. For the
camera I will also need a battery and battery charger along with an SD card to be able
to record. This will also be available to book out from college. I will need it for two
weeks between 6th April and 25th April.
5. Facilities
I will only be editing my video at college. I will edit the footage using premiere pro
which I have access to at college. I might also create some sound effects using garage
band or beepbox to try and create a time travel sound. I won’t be needing any
additional software or specialist facilities for filming or editing.
6. Personnel
I will be the only person in the crew. Production is one of my main strengths so I will
need to make sure that I put extra effort into the planning to make sure that I can
complete this to my full potential.
I will have two external performers in my project. They are both limited with what
times they are available so I need to plan my time carefully so I can film with both of
them together. I won’t have to pay to transport them as they both live in the area, and
I will be able to provide food for them since we are filming at my house. These are the
only people helping me with the production as the rest will be done by myself.
8. Storyboarding
• Your storyboard should bring your idea to life
• Provide an idea of the sequencing of you video
• Provides a basis for production
• Suggested online storyboard creators are:
– http://www.pixton.com [very complicated]
– http://www.storyjumper.com [allows you to insert your own
images]
• Alternatively, hand draw or photograph your storyboard
and scan or copy to insert it onto your slides

12. Shot List
• Your shot list should contain the sequential breakdown
of what you need to shoot for your video
• It should work in partnership with your storyboard
• It will be your working document when you film
• It should contain the shot number, scene number, shot
description, framing and action you will see
• It should also have information on performers in the
scene and other props, etc
• Shot list template is on Blackboard in the pre-
production folder.

21. Props/Costume/etc
The first character will wear simple jeans and t-
shirt. This is because there hasn’t been too
much development on the characters so their
both very surface level. The scene is also set on
an average day with people who have just been
at home. This means they would not be
dressed up and would be dressed comfortably.
She will wear a coloured top/ hoodie to
represent her spirited personality, energetic
nature, curiosity and optimism. However, I
don’t want any of the characters clothes to be
too bright so I can adjust the brightness and
saturation in post-production without altering
the costumes to dramatically. To ensure this, I
will make sure that any colours that characters
wear will be muted. She will also be wearing
skinny jeans since she will be walking about a
lot. This will decrease the chance of
background noise from clothes effecting the
shot.
22. Props/Costume/etc
The second character will wear a similar outfit
that consists of simple items such as jeans and
t-shirt or hoodie. This is because they are at
home so will be wearing casual clothes. I will
also try to limit items of clothing that create
too much noise like jewelry. His character is a
more subdued character that isn’t as
enthusiastic and is very pessimistic. They will
wear plain clothes with colours like back, white
and grey to communicate what kind of
character they are.
23. Sound Effects/Music
I will create some sound effects for the time travel. I will take inspiration from sci fi
films and try to create something that is post modern and robotic. I will use garage
band or beepbox as they have a wide variety of instruments you can use and then I
can edit them after to create the futuristic sound.
I might also create some music using garage band for the background clips. This will be
to add suspense and drama to the scene.
24. Script/Copy
• You will need to write out any copy or script
that you will be using. You will need to do this
as a separate document or you can include it
here.
– Magazine articles (double page spread) are
around 1400 words.
– Audio often has between 100 – 130 words per
minute.
– Films vary, but even if it has no dialogue, you need
to script what will happen visually.
26. Production Group Info

Leo Thompson 07895 706086 actor
27. Location information
• Information and images of your location[s] for
filming/recording/shooting.
• This means when you will arrive, when it will be
available, when you model/cast should arrive, when
you will finish, access to food/water, access to toilets,
nearby travel links etc etc.
• You should have address details, clearance/permissions
for filming, recce photos and floorplans [including
camera, equipment and cast/crew layouts]
• Where possible, have a plan B fallback location option
• Assess each location for any issues and suggest
solutions
28. locations
The first location that we will be filming at will
be my house. I will be using the kitchen and
garden space for the first two scenes. This
location will be available to us on any day from
mid-morning to late afternoon. Food and drink
will be easily available for the actors and there
will also be access to toilets. This will allow us
to film for longer intervals. Both actors can
drive and have access to cars that they will be
able to use to get to the house. They will
however share a lift to save petrol and they are
also close to the location.
The location is Tadcaster LS24 9BB
29. Locations
The second location will be in Towton along the
battle fields walk. This is a public location that
has a lot of open space which will be good for
filming and isn't busy so there won't be many
disruptions to filming. There won't be access to
facilities like toilets so filming will have to be
shorter. There also won't be access and drink
although I will bring some for the actors. We
will need to have access to a car in order to get
to this location. One of the actors will be
providing travel for everyone. This creates a
limitation because if something happens to the
car then there will be no other way of getting
there. It would take a little while to walk which
would take away from filming time. This is also
an outside location which means that if it rains
then we will have to postpone filming for
another day. The chances of this can be
prevented by checking the weather before
making the schedule but it can never be a
guarantee. This means that I should try to
schedule multiple days to film the scene in case
one ends up having bad weather.
30. Production Schedule
• Your schedule should budget a total of 10
hours for production, that is for the filming
and editing of your project.
• You should plan when you’re filming and how
you intend to use the in class days on your
timetable/class schedule

34. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Muscle strain during editing Take regular breaks away from a desk.
Eye strain Take regular breaks away from the computer
screen
Tripping on uneven ground Make sure everyone walks carefully and looks
down
Editor's Notes
You need to identify locations and plan a recce.
What are the limitations and risks, eg distance, access, cost, weather? How will you manage this?
What do you need? E.g. equipment, resources? Mostly from college, but who do you need to speak to get this kit? What is available? When?
Look at equipment hire places, etc
Where will you edit your video? Do you need any other specialist facilities…? Software?
CREW: What is you team? Who is in it? What are each team members strengths/weaknesses? When are they available?
CAST: Do you need any external performers? When are they available? Cost implications? Will you have to feed them? Transport them?
Other personnel? Is anyone else helping you?
Add rationales for creative choices. Use images and descriptions. One slide per character/outfit.
Black out all contact details as this will be going online, but you will still need to collect these.
If under 16 a parent must confirm this. One agreement per model/actor
