2. Reflection
My design for The Clean Plate was inspired by my Marketing
Communications Plan that focuses on the symbol of a plate,
taken directly from the book’s title. I used a photograph of a
healthy plate of food to capture this emphasis on the plate, to
remind viewers of this advertisement and strengthen the
association of an attractive plate of food with this new book.
The cover of the book is quite busy so I decided to keep my
design quite basic for the background, using a block of colour
that I matched with the colour yellow used on the font. My
choice of text is derived from the book’s title to maintain
consistency in my overall communication of this new release, I
used a bold font on ‘2019’ to emphasis the release date and
entertain a sense of urgency - and so encouraging more
potential consumers to buy the book.
