Introduction
Zookeepers have several responsibilities, duties, and daily tasks. They play a critical role in the
health of the animals in their zoos!
Wouldn’t it be fun to see what a day in the life of a zookeeper looked like?
We are going to examine the zoo through the zookeeper’s eyes:
• You are going to research what a zookeeper does on a day-to-day basis.
• Consider why a zookeeper is an important part of how the zoo works.
Task
You are going to take one the role of a zookeeper!
You’ll need to learn about the duties of a zookeeper. You will be tasked to research the
following:
• A minimum of four duties/responsibilities of a zookeeper.
You will be provided with a handout with the questions to be answered by the end of class.
