abnormal is coming off from these characters. The costumes

they are in that of hip hop culture which instantly sets the
ambiance of the film .
In the scene on the right we can see that there is a lot of
eye movement from the characters that just entered the
building. This poses the question why are they acting so
suspicious and what is about to happen. This heightens
tension and keeps the audience at the edge of their
seats.

stereotypes of certain genres suggest a thriller
shoot’em up styled plot catching the audiences
attention right from the start. The thriller like
genre is also emphasised by the use of flashing
disorientated lights creating a sense of confusion
by limiting what the audience can see by the use
of symbolic bright and dark lighting resulting in a
height of tension. The use of the flashing lights is
also used as a transition from shot to shot
creating an undisturbed viewing experience.
5. The camera work in the opening scene was very
successful at involving the audience. This was
obtained through various different techniques. An
example of which would be the use of close up
shots used to introduce each protagonist this
instantly familiarised the audience with the
characters. In addition the camera movement
which used POV shots acted as if it followed the
group of protagonist causing the audience to feel
a realist ambiance.
