2. Color
The poster is a mixture of purple,
grey and orange. We can see the
dark parts of the sky surround the
family, this represents the negativity
between them and they bring , the
couple kissing bring the warmth
positive to the story, it makes it seem
like they are kissing in a sunrise in
heaven, this hints to us the story line
and how strong their love is.

The central image is a couple in love
kissing, in-between two families
pointing their guns at each other. This
tells us about the storyline of the film,
the two lovers are from each from a
family who hate each other, but them
coming together stops the two families
from attacking each other.

The tagline reads “ My only
love sprung from only hate”
this is a quote from
Shakespeare, this sets the
tone of the film, the line means
even thou the families hate
each other, love has come
through it. This is very
powerful and highlights the
hatred the families have
towards each other. This tells
the audience about the
storyline.

stand out from everything on the
poster, this makes the audience
aware of the name straight
away.

We can see this is an Action
romantic from the codes and
convention for example we see
a a heart in the middle this
represents love, we see the
couple kissing, this also shows
they are in love. However we
also see people with guns and
the heart is on fire, this tells us
its an action film. This means
Target Audience From the
emphasis of Shakespeare's
name, the film will be aimed at
Shakespeare fans and anyone
else who likes a action romantic
drama.

brown Colour, It is very fiery
and rusty, this tells us the story
of the film is going to very
emotional, we see one side of
brad pits face is dark, this

identify or a dark side of him.

deadly sins crossed off, this gives us
insight into the storyline of the film

sins, seven ways to die” , this is very
intriguing and grabs the attention of
the audience , this gives us an insight
into the narrative . The word “die” has
very dark connotations and links it to
the genre of being a thriller.

out from everything on the poster, this
makes the audience aware of the
name straight away. The tile is
lowercase as well, this stands out ad
eveything else is capitol, this makes
the audience remember the title.

We can see this is an thriller drama, this is
through the emotion in each of the
characters face, furthermore the darkness
and mystery tell us it is a thriller film. The fire
red background reflects the emotions of the
characters, this Target Audience From the
dark imagery and themes this poster is
aimed at people who like the thriller genre
and maybe even horror. The golden and
black colours make the poster really stand
out and look like something unique, the use
of the two famous actors on the front cover
will attract the fan bases they have.

catch the audiences attentions. Even the
fact he wears black clothing allows his
face to stand out more and be the first

age I think, because the target
audience for people who follow

colours this is very different to the
skin colours of Lamar, this makes
him stand out more and pop out of
the page. The red NME, logo also
contrast to everything else, this
