2. Problem
Katie’s
lifestyle has been detrimental to
her health. She needs to work on eating
healthier and being more active. For the
purpose of this study we measured how
the frequency of exercise positively
correlated with the increased feelings of
her overall well being.
3. Intervention
We established a goal of exercise 3 days a
week.
When the goal of attending the gym on a
regular basis was achieved for 2 weeks in a
row Katie got to go shopping as a reward
which created a motivational incentive
Katie joined a gym with her friends so she
could establish emotional and physical
support.
4. Study Design
For
this study we choose an AB single
case design. We measured by using an
overall wellbeing individualized rating
scale on a daily basis. Katie measured
and recorded how much exercise she got
every day. An exercise frequency form
was also used for 6 weeks.
