manufacturing and service business. Responsibilities include manufacturing operations in Orange,
California, Mexicali, Mexico and Etten-Leur, The Netherlands. After merging with Tuboscope in 2000,
Varco International, Inc. became a $4.0 billion premier mid-cap oil field products and services company.
Recognized leader of the manufacturing revolution. Implemented QRM (Quick Response
Manufacturing) in Orange and Etten-Leur facilities. Dramatically reduced indirect overhead while
significantly improving on time delivery, quality and lead times.
Facilities are “best in class” among all the Varco locations.
Reduced labor content of products by >20% on average while reducing overall lead times by >50%.
Taking full advantage of the velocity model set forth in QRM.
Set in place an aggressive forecasting model to allow 3 to 4 week deliveries on products normally

In 2001, the company reorganized, eliminating its divisional structure and moved into a functional
organizational arrangement where I was tasked with establishing worldwide spare parts, service, and rental
and repair organization.
Refurbished operations in Aberdeen, Scotland, Singapore, Lafayette, Louisiana, and Houston Texas.
Established new operations in Stavanger, Norway, Dubai, U.A.E., and Macae, Brazil
Standardized operations, training and reporting in all locations.
Established B2B with several key customers.
Established an eDrill monitoring center in Houston that provided on-line, real time monitoring and
diagnostic capabilities of complex robotic equipment in remote locations throughout the world.

was a key enabler to the revenue growth.
