All American Rejects- ‘Dirty
Little secret’ video

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone
raising awareness of charities.
Styling ideas and influences
We will be following Goodwin’s theory in that there will be a
relationship between the lyrics and the visuals. Such as we will
be using actual numbers from doors, price tags for the numbers
which are sang in the song. For the lyrics “open up the door”
and “answer your phone”, we are going to use a door being
opened and also show a vintage style phone.
There will be a relationship with the music and the visuals too.
As the music jumps, the images will too. It will go in time to the
beat. Our music video will also be a mix of amplify and illustrate
as it will have aspects of the a set of images to illustrate the
meaning of the lyrics and genre and also meaning of the song is
added to by the visuals.
The music video will also demonstrate genre characteristics by
having the typical style as other music videos of the same
genre. We will do this by the clothing used in the music
video, it will be vintage and stylish, such as Ellie Goulding in her
music videos. In the genre there is a lot of guitar playing close
ups, a lot of performance elements and narrative elements. We
will be following a performance and narrative video by having
parts of playing the guitar and a backing story.
We will also be creating a music video which
will be relatively redundant as what happens
in the video is what you would expect to get
out of an indie/acoustic artist music video.
You will see an acoustic guitar being
played, this is redundant as you would expect
to see this happen.
However, there will be aspects of entropy as
there will be a lot of jumping images to
match the lyrics and beat of the song. This is
not typical of the genre so this is entropic. In
the genre you do not really expect a lot of
jumping images to match the music
videos, you would expect a narrative based
performance which is quite slow.
We will be recording in Ludlow, which will be
quite redundant for the music video, as music
videos in the same genre are filmed in quite
urban places or rural towns and Ludlow
follows the rural town.
How to ensure that we stay safe

Town centre:
Traffic- beware of cars and buses and look both ways when
crossing the road
Slipping/tripping on pavement- wear sensible footwear
Overcrowding of people- don’t film on market day

Castle grounds:
Slipping/tripping on grass/path- wear sensible footwear
Weather- check weather forecast, take coats etc.

Ludlow Assembly Rooms:
Fall down steps- go down them carefully, don’t carry too
much when going down them
Fall off stage- don’t go to near the edge of the stage
Performances may be on- check programmes to make sure
there aren’t any performances on.
