MY DREAM
I come from a very humble background. And there are so many children in our country who can
not even dream as poverty stands in the way. Who dare to dream even after so many obstacles,
have to stop short of actually achieving it. What they need is a scholarship. I myself had to go
through such phase throughout my school and college life where scholarship had been the only
way I could carry on my studies. That is why I understand the need for it. That is why I want to
see an India which grows by following the path of education.
I have learnt from my mother the nobility of the profession of teaching. What she tried to do
for the education of poor children in our locality had a deep impact on me. So I want to
contribute to the society as much as I can and take the poor children back to the studies.
I wish to make this scholarship a bit different from others. It will not be given only to pay for
their educational needs. But their family will also get a monthly amount of Rs 500 just to
compensate for the money that the poor child has to bring home by working as a child
labor. The children will also be given story books, crayons, dress, a quilt and a fixed amount per
year for nutritious food. If it is possible I would like to talk to the primary school authority to
see if I can use the school premises on weekends to help them pursue painting, singing, reciting
etc. and also give them lunch on those days. That way I want to ensure that every student gets
the entire amount spent only on their education and nutrition.

The cost
Reason Compensation Story books Dress Quilt Food
                              and Crayons
Amount (Rs 500*12=6000 500 500 500 2500
per annum)

That way I will need Rs 10000 for a child a year. So I would like to take care of 15 children with
the amount of Rs 1.5 lakh and at least bring them to the world of education so that they also
can dream one day.
