Security Shift Manager
Duties
Provided strategic direction and vision to a shift of 80 Security Team Members.
Served as a first line/second line supervisor and senior manager for the organization. This
includes assigning work, setting priorities, and reviewing and evaluating work and performance of
subordinates; approving leave; coaching and developing employees; recommending corrective or
disciplinary actions; assisting in budget planning and projecting short-term needs; managing
projects within assigned resources; resolving routine problems that typically impact the objectives
of the organizational unit; when required, coordinating with customers outside the immediate
organization.
Conducted yearly performance reviews on all junior management, supervisory, and line level
team members. Directed routine/daily performance appraisals on all line level team members.
Served on startup team as departmental recruiter and interviewer when property opened in 2003.
Interviewed over 1,000 candidates. Reviewed applications and conducted in-depth interviews of
candidates for Security positions and made hires to fill staff openings. Selected and interviewed
for leadership and staff positions. Conducted professional and technical training for all security
personnel. Instructed refresher training and re-certifications when required; i.e. Suspicious
Activity Reporting for Casinos, CPR/AED, blood borne pathogen, hazardous materials, chemical
spills, identification training, basic handcuffing; Directed investigations on any criminal activity
occurring on property.
Liaison for investigations of incidents with the appropriate law enforcement agencies. Initiated
investigations of any customer non-criminal activity; Directed investigations into employee
misconduct incidents. Conducted investigations into worker's compensation claims, safety
violations, and employee medical situations. Worked in coordination with the Fire Command
Center to implement all fire and life safety protocols. Directed quarterly drills of the staff to handle
major incidents. Executed high level, high profile executive protection details for various
government and celebrity professionals.

Acclamation for successfully detecting and defending against a patron with three handguns
Outstanding service for proper handling of a deceased patron with no identification
Commendation for solving multiple altercations with patrons
Recognized for emergency efforts during evacuation of property for Hurricane Sandy
