Major Projects Handled
1. Design and modification of Bulkhead Assy (CR & ECR)
In this project initially scope for investigating the CR (Change
request)
Found that there is clash with some parts. Scope for redesign of
bulkhead and also made big assy in to sub assembly. Wrinkle relief
callouts made on the engineering drawing. Avoided RDR
(Rework data recovery) condition.
2. Re-design of Attach brackets

3. In this project we made three machined parts in to single sheet
metal component. These parts are attached to leading edge rib and
spars. This was the cost out project.
3. Tailcone Access door
In this project scope for easy removal for Tailcone Access Door by
making cutout on other mating parts. Every time we need to remove
floor board part to slip down Access door hence there is damage of
washers and also we have replaced old fasteners with Cam lock
fasteners.
4. Legacy modeling and drawings AD Project
This project to improve lift and thrust by making changes to wings
flaps & incorporating new engines. Scope for legacy modeling for ribs
and flaps.
5. Making DDA’S (Drawing departure authorization)
DDA it is the document making for the part which has been made
wrong but it is in acceptable limit & it is going feed for one aircraft
and not for the throughout the engineering.

4. • Converting 2D technical drawings into 3D models in CATIA V5R17
using NMG surfaces.

• Lofts generation & NMG surface generation
• Co-ordinating with group leaders & design engineers in case of
following sub-assemblies.
• Interaction with design & manufacturing (NC and Sheet Metal).
• Regarding the models, loft/ NMG and flat pattern generation and its

Projects:
1. Modeling and Drafting –
The components are modelled at its specific location with respect to the
aircraft axis and corresponding NMG surfaces. The models are then drafted
to help in its validation.
A few critical components modeled and drafted are –
Fuselage Parts: Machined Bulkhead, Bottom Machined Frame, Mid Frame,
Side Frame, Top Frame, Longerons, Doublers, Skin, Angles, Stiffeners etc…
VT and HT Brackets: Balance Tab Brackets, Eye End Rudder Brackets,
Rudder Hinge Brackets etc…
Nacelle Parts: M-Frame Top, M-Frame Bottom, Stringers, Frames,
Brackets etc...
2. Sheet Metal Forming - The sheet metal components are to be
developed. Bend and bevel angles are calculated for few sections and a
reduction in length for unbending is calculated. This reference is used
for development the sheet metal components. But for a few components
which do not have any planar face, NMG generation and flat patterns
are generated.
