1. CASA Quick Facts
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. We advocate for children in the court system
by no fault of their own. Our program recruits and trains volunteers from the community to
advocate for children. We serve children of all ages, ranging from 0-18.
Spirit of the Plains, CASA serve Kansas’ 25th
Judicial District which includes Finney, Kearny, Scott,
Whichita, Greeley and Hamilton counties.
Becoming a CASA Volunteer requires about 25-30 hours of training and that training equips you
with the tools you need to advocate for a child in court.
The time required to be a CASA Volunteer once training is complete is up to you as the volunteer.
Our program requires a minimum of one contact with your child or children per month, but the rest
is up to you!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
