1. VOLUNTEER EVENT

Institute for Child and Family Health
Background Experience
We were given the opportunity to reach out to our local
community through ICFH at the Chapman Partnership
by providing an event that allowed us to engage with
children ranging from toddler to preteen who currently
reside in the homeless shelter. They rarely experience
parties with pizza, games, and clowns therefore we had
a Birthday Party for all. To see the smile on their faces,
even from just the sight of freshly delivered pizza, was
enough to know that we had chosen the right
organization to collaborate with. From jumping hop
scotch, throwing a football around, playing soccer, or
doing freeze dance with Petunia the clown I believe not
only did the kids have fun, but the team as well. It was
by the far one of the most rewarding and humbling
experiences.
