Organizations can find information on what consumer prefer by analyzing consumer generated advertising and what is liked or disliked about other
products. There are many implications of consumer generated advertising on marketing practices and consumer marketer relations. Some of the
positive implications are cost, more diversity, and increased ties to consumers. The downsides include having to sort through all of the
advertisements to find the best ones and the ideas may be lower caliber than ones generated by paid associates. The main implication of consumer
generated advertising is cost. This is because you are spending less money on employee's salaries, advertisements, and because companies have less
space to fall if they fail. When companies engage in consumer generated advertising they are paying less for their marketing staff to generate ideas.
They are also spending less on overall advertising because they just put out that they want people to come up for advertisements for a certain good or
service and then they pay to air those commercials. This is better as well due to the fact that consumer generated advertisements have more impact on
sales (Moskowitz, 2006). When companies are not paying as much for the advertisements then it is not as big of a deal if the advertisements are not as

The Rover streetwise advert has pictures of daily life things such as coffee, donuts, a football, children's Wellingtons boots and a shopping trolley
with groceries inside the trolley. This indicates that the car is a family car and is aimed at married women mainly but can also be used by a
family man to drive to and from work. The slogan for the advert "shrugs of life's little challenges" is related to the pictures for example the child's
muddy Wellington boot. The donut would represent the father who is hungry on the way home or to work, the shopping trolley would represent
that the car is useful for a family shopping spree. The advert also uses the word 'Bump' which is saying that even if a heavy load is in the car it can
still go over speed bumps. I like the way the advert creates an image of characters in the readers mind, although you cannot see a physical person

Advertising is one of the world's foremost businesses. Companies use this media to communicate their ideas, products and messages to the general
public. This is one type of advert, which is used to draw people to donate to a cause. It is called an appeal.
This appeal is from Help The Aged, a fairly large charity, dedicated to helping the older and less able people. This particular advert is for the
SeniorLink pendant, a small telephone pendant that helps people when they get into trouble where they can't reach the phone, because they are
immobilised.

The caption or 'title' of the leaflet is in large, white, bold, capitalised text, which is mapped on a black background. This is to make the text stand out
considerably, as there is no bigger contrast than black and white.
At the end of the text is an ellipsis. This adds to the beckoning feel of the text that makes the audience want to read on.
The second part of the advert or "Middle of the leaflet" is a transcript of the conversation between Lyn, a SeniorLink operator, and Vera Smith, an old
woman in distress. The sheet is in four parts:
A quotation, used as a title
An introduction to the transcript
The telephone conversation, recorded as a transcript
And an epilogue to the piece.
The quotation to the page is in a similar style to the original caption, in the first part. It shares the same bold, white on black style, however it is not
all in capitals. This is because it is a quotation from Vera, presumably from after her ordeal. This is to show again that she recovered and that she owes
her life to the SeniorLink pendant.
Next is an introduction to the transcript. It starts with an introductory sentence that uses simple adjectives and sentence structure to describe the
characters. Next comes the setting of the scene, where Vera's predicament takes shape. One sentence is underlined, this sentence: 'To

The topic that I have chosen to reflect on for this assignment is one of the persuasion industries: advertising. I find this topic interesting because
there is almost no way to get away from ads, playing a huge role in everyone's lives around the world. Advertisements are everywhere. You see ads
on billboards, televisions, hear them on the radio, see them on people's clothes and many, many more places. People come across around 5,000 ads
a day. Advertisements are made by a business to increase their consumer profits. They push people to go buy a specific product or to visit their

establishment caused him to get a varying array of consumers. This company brought up brands such as Quaker Oaks, Ivory Soap, and many more.
Magazines almost relied on their advertisers for financial stability rather than consumers. Between the Civil war and World War I, advertisements
became more creative, expensive, and much larger. Francis Wayland Ayer founded the first full serviceadvertising agency called, N.W. Ayer and Sons,
after his father. Ayer specialized in campaign planning and location of ads in fitting media. While taking this class and learning the things I have
learned, my opinion has not changed much when it comes to advertising. Although I chose this topic to write about, I am actually not a fan of ads,
and I almost see them as bothersome. I do my best to try and avoid any types of ads. When I am listening to the radio or watching television, I will
turn the channel to something else so I do not have to watch or listen to the advertisements. Therefore, the ads that are disrupting my television
shows, music, and social media, I do not enjoy. My favorite types of ads are print or digital billboard ads. They are there if I want to read them, but if
not, I do not have to even look at them. My other favorite types of ads that usually get my attention are the more inappropriate, funny commercials.

There are many types of companies that carry false advertising in their products in order to increase commercial sales. In today's world, we all want
our money's worth of what we are purchasing. In false advertising, we are being mislead and deceived in what we are really buying. Weight loss

The ad was published in September 2008 in Russia by the agency BBDO Moscow, with the brand name CSI. BBDO is a worldwide advertising
company that advertise's, not only anti–tobacco, but many other products such as Band–Aid brand and Snickers; mainly sticking with current events.
This is where the credibilty lies, BBDO seems to advertise a lot of products, but not about many issues/causes such as anti–tobacco. However, this
group has earned many recognitions such as, "Most effectice network in the world" and many "Network of the year" 's. As well as "Most awarded
agency network in the world", therefore this leads me to believe their ethos is pretty good. But, i am not sure how committed the agency is to
anti–tobacco campaigns since they also have other products being advertised and do not take donations nor really contribute to the community ( other
than creating and publishing the ads). I do believe the ads are making an impact in many countries; such as Algeria and Pakistan and many other

products in the Third World. In the 1970s the multinational food company Nestle advertised powdered milk for babies as an alternative to breast

that businessman projected to mothers. In this case, however, the results were tragic, because the product required sanitary conditions that were not

In addition to the beautiful looking imagery, the ad also uses some clever words to entice the reader. Jeffrey Schrank's "The Language of Advertising
Claims" explains wonderfully the most common techniques that advertisers use in their ads. In the advertisement for the High Definition Television by
Samsung, three of Jeffrey Schrank's techniques are used: the "Weasel" claim, the "Unfinished" claim, and the "Vague" claim.
The claim that is most apparent is the "Weasel" claim. A weasel word is one that appears to be pretty significant and meaningful but if analyzed
further really don't mean much at all (Shrank par. 9). The High Definition Television advertisement claims that it as a flat screen that is "virtually
distortion and glare free" (Entertainment Weekly). The ad doesn't say that the TV has no distortion or glare. Instead what is says really has no meaning
since virtually can be interpreted in many different ways. The ad does give the impression, though, that the television has no distortion or glare.
Another claim that is used is the "Unfinished" one (Shrank par. 10). An example of that in this television advertisement is when it says that the picture
