2. What is RC Nitro Car??
 It is a car which runs on
fuel consist of methane,
nitro methane and oil. It
has small internal
combustion engine which
gets it spark from glow
plug powered by batteries
inside a car.

3. What is IC Engine??
 An internal combustion engine (ICE) converts
chemical energy into mechanical energy by burning
fuel.(CHEMICALMECHANICAL)
 Chemical energy release when mixture of air and fuel
is ignited by a spark plug.

 1876-1st modern ICE. By Nikolaus otto.
 Application-Power source for land and water vehicle.

5. Now What is Nitro Engine???
 It is an heart of any RC car.
 It works on Nitro fuel.
 Can scream to speeds in excess of 20,000 RPM
 Most nitro RC engines are of the "ABC" type
design. The ABC stands for ALUMINUM BRASS
CHROME. This means that the piston is aluminum,
the cylinder liner is brass, and the internal wear
surface of the cylinder is plated with chrome.

7. Controlling of Nitro engine
Controlling is with the help of
Transmitter.
The transmitter comes in the pistol
style format.
It consist of throttle/brake lever, a
steering control.
It requires 4 or 8 AA batteries.
The transmitter gives signal to
receiver and then car/engine is
operated.

9. Transmitter/Radio
 Transmitter is use to
control the car.
 We can adjust the
throttle with the help of
Radio.
 Both breaking and
throttling is control with
help of Transmitter.
 It will send signal to
receivers and car itself.

10. Chassis
 The basic frame of or
chassis of radio
controlled car is the
platform upon which
internal parts such as
the motor and receiver
sit and fuel tank.
 It provides good stability
and prevent braking of
parts.
 The chassis is typically
made from cast iron or
alloys.

12. Glow Plug
 To start a glow plug engine ,a small direct
current (around 1.5 volts) is applied to the
glow plug starter ,initially heating the
filament.
 When fuel enters the combustion
chamber, it is ignited by the heated glow
plug and with that ,the engine springs to
life ,instantly gaining the momentum to
continue running after all the starter
accessories are removed.
 The engine’s carburetor supplies the fuel
and air needed for combustion.

 A carburetor is a
device that blends air
and fuel for an
internal combustion
engine.

14. Transmission
 The transmission is one of the
most important ,as without it,
the power from the engine
could never reach the wheels
and your car would not be
much use.
 There are various types of
transmission.
 Such as automatic ,manual,
and continuously variable
transmission.

15. Receiver
 Receiver is a small unit inside
the RC vehicle that receives the
signal from the transmitter.
 It translate the radio signals
which tell the RC vehicle what
to do such as what direction and
speed to move.
 In short it is an part of
controlling the RC vehicle.

16. Servo motors
 RC servos are very popular
mechanism in world of RC
models.
 RC servos are used to convert
electrical signal into polar or
linear movement.
 For example steering system of
an RC car.
 When signal is transmitted
from the control to the car
,this signal is decoded and
sent to a servo.
 According to this signal, the
servo will rotates its drive shaft
for some degrees and this
rotation is translated into
wheel steering.

17. Suspension
 Suspension is the system of
linkages and springs or
shocks that allows the
wheels to move up and
down independent of the
chassis or body.
 It gives the best suspension
travel for a typical car.
 It protects the car and all its
components.

18. Fuel tank
 A fuel tank is safe container for flammable
fluids.
 Fuel tank is important as all fuels are volatile if
these fluid comes in contact with fire there may
be danger of accident due to burning of fuel.

19. Finally What is importance in our
technical knowledge..????
 It gives you first hand expertise in
building a car which has strong
resemblance to real world cars.
 Its combustion cycle is similar to petrol
cars.
 Because of all above likeness, it would be
great learning curve for all those
interested in automobiles.
