2. • Shopping:
The audience we are aiming our film
at shop at high street shops such as
river island, Topshop and new look.
The age range is between 15-24 so
they don’t have as much disposable
income to spend on higher priced
shops such as Ted Baker and
Warehouse. At least a quarter of our
audience will be on student finance
so they wont be able to go to the
cinema each week as they need to
buy more important items such as
food and their rent.
3. • Transport:
Most of our target audience will
get public transport such as
buses, trams and trains to places
like town. Some of our audience
will be able to drive which is why
it is important to advertise on
public transport but also on
billboards and posters near main
junctions so that cars are equally
targeted.
4. • Fast food restaurants
For most of our target audience
fast food chains will be a place
to socialise with peers and
‘hang out’. These places are in
our target audiences price
range thus using these places
to advertise our film by the use
of posters and chances to win
free tickets with their meals
etc.
5. • Social media:
Many of our target audience
will be using at least one
form of social media either
on their mobile phones or
computers. Social media is
widely used which means
we can reach a mass
audience through the use of
this media. Creating pages,
profiles and accounts will
allow our audience to feel
personally connected to the
movie through its
advertising and creating
journey.
6. • Technology
Technology plays a huge part in
marketing a film: especially to a
target audience like ours. Most
teenagers today are constantly
reliant on their devices such as
phones, computers and iPads
which makes targeting a direct
audience easier to do. Adverts
before videos on YouTube for
example and increased over the
past year and more films are
being advertised on related
videos on YouTube that they
think the target audience are
watching.
